Today is one of those crappy days and I've changed to allow grid to charge and soc from 30% to 100%. I have loadshedding at 10 and solar is looking weak today. Thanks for the explanation.
It is so hard to find a balance between optimal battery usage, surviving load shedding and not having to tweak settings constantly based on weather patterns.
I have grid charge ticked everywhere but I slowly raise the battery level during the day. Normally the solar takes care of it but if the weather is kak and the battery is low the grid chargers it. Don’t want to reach 5pm on a bad day and have a low battery and load shedding during dinner time.
The only setting to make your life easiest is grid charge all the time and 100%. You won't save money but you will protect yourself the most and not have to worry about changing anything going forward
