All things Sunsynk (Deye, Inge, etc...)

Ive only ever seen the 12kw version.
Is it a price thing or any other specific reason why you don't want the 12kw instead of the 8kw?
House is 3 Phase we only need 5kw and 12kw is about R20k more than 8kw

I have a DEYE 8kVA single phase inverter with 2x Pylontech UP5000 batteries, no solar panels yet.

Is there a way to tell the inverter to only charge the batteries to say 80% SoC in order to save a little on the cycles?

The lowest SoC that I have seen during a 4-hour loadshedding stint was 54%, so I think I am safe starting at 80%.

Any merit in this approach?

You set the SoC in the system work mode.

Good thinking. The problem is that one can only control the charge from Grid and Genny, not solar.

JP van Riel did request it on the Sunsynk forum more than 2 years ago, but like much of the requests there, it was ignored. :(
