All things Sunsynk (Deye, Inge, etc...)

Was the firmware updated perhaps?
I don't think my sunsynk has ever had a firmware update pushed to it. Is this something they do if the sunsynk dongle is connected to inverter ? Mines is , and registered with them of course but I have never asked them to ever do a firmware upgrade so I don't even know if I am on the latest (or i need to be?)

My 8KVa has this for inverter firmware

If you have an official sunsynk installer, they have access to do a firmware update.
For anyone else you need to request from sunsynk and they push it down.
 
Hi All,

Anybody run into the issue of Sunsynk stats not being accurate? 8kva Sunsynk with wifi dongle:

Data seems to go missing from the daily graph (April):

And for May - yesterday the import was sitting at about 13units during the day and this morning it's only showing 0.6 total for yesterday:

Haven't had updates either but my 8kW is on this:
M 6.0.1.4 / S 1.7.2.4 / C E.4.2.4

Think only the first one matters based on this unless you have them in parallel:

Not planning to do any firmware updates unless needed for a new battery or whatever down the line. Not having any issues with my setup.
 
My 5kW is currently on M 3.3.8.2 / S 1.5.1.5 / C E.4.2.6. I know there is a version 3.3.8.4 out that provides a new option to silence the high-pitched whine some electrical devices on load produces. I will live with that for now as it seems to only be my PC power-supply that is affected by that, at the moment.

Thoughts on the below kit/quote? Seems to be the best I've gotten so far.

Geyser (3kW) will be on aux/non-essential until I add more batteries. Haven't seen my peak draw in the kitchen go over 3.5kW with our current usage patterns so planning to put that on essential. Other than that I don't have any other high power appliances like pool pumps or tumble dryers. Dishwasher maxes 2.2kW but I can manage it.

My roof is weirdly shaped so I'm trying to maximise the 1 portion of flat roof space I have (rectangular space, 3.8M x 8M) and then adding another string later on after getting more batteries. This portion of the roof is NE facing.

I would like 500-600W panels to maximise the space and also have some headroom for panel degradation but the supplier says it would be too much for the MPPT and I'm not seeing how. Bear with me if my calculations are off, I only started reading up about this on Saturday :ROFL:

The Sunsynk 8kW has 18A on the input with a range of 125-425V.

Voc: 41.5
Isc: 13.95
Dimensions: 2261 ˣ 1134

I should be able to fit 9 panels so:

41.5*9 = 373.5V which is in range of the MPPT.

Will this work?

Worse day so far today, going to be lucky to make over 5 :(

But it's been heavily cloudy all day so it's not bad technically, just no sun.

All day? That's very nice. Here's a pic of my two strings where one can clearly see the effect of shading in the afternoon (fortunately not an issue in the summer).

My one string has a bit of shading early in the morning, but only during winter. Lose about 2 hours on that string I think.
I did a quick Riemann sum between the two strings and figure I lost about 2.5kWh due to shading on the graph above.

Jip, panels are on a second-story roof and I have no trees on my property, some mofo trees are on my neighbor's properties but they don't affect me.

I will say the one string does not get early early sun.
