I would connect the CAN bus cable from inverter to the battery on address 1. Seems like a logical thing to do. But see what happens after your batteries have charged.
When my second battery was installed, I asked the guy if he set the dip switches (he was supposedly a good solar install guy) - he said yes, but I checked immediately myself and saw he left it on address 15/16 (can't recall) - turned off both batteries and set to the new one to two. Also ensure the batt comms cable was connected between the two.
Are those AM2's? ... my SA says my first one is 110Ah and the second one is 100Ah ...
