Anyone noticed their SOH has dropped - year into owning system, which is normal.
Yes, 18 months in and we are on 97% SOH, PylonTech UP5000's. Our old system which my BIL owns is on 96% after just over 2 years.

Also running pylontech. 94% and will be 4 years at the end of this month. But I added batteries with the last one added last year which allowed down the SOH decline.I'm down to 95% SOH, after 2 and a half years of running. Pylontech batteries.
I am running three Sunsynk batteries and the SOH on the inverter is showing 99%. The first two batteries were installed around Jan/Feb 2023 and the third battery was installed at the end of Feb 2024.
Oki im contemplating increasing panels. I have 12 I believe split over 2 string 6 - 6
Does this look like that logic is correct?

Thanks I am essentially thinking about adding 4-6 more, just wanted to know if another string is available and if this should be okWe have 16 545w Longi's running at the moment in two strings of eight, peak generation in summer I have seen at around 9kW.

100% look at at 12 panels Im talking about 4 maybe 6 tops.You can add an infinite amount in parallel, but up to about 10 in series. Inverter has two MPPTs, each can accept 500V and 22A. You don't want to oversize on voltage, but excess current isn't a problem. Obviously adding more and more panels in parallel has diminishing returns.

Inverter has 4 strings, two per MPPT. The strings just parallel inside the inverter though, so nothing stopping from adding as many strings as your heart desires. Your panels (assuming you get more of the same) are 46.55Voc and 11.13Isc.100% look at at 12 panels Im talking about 4 maybe 6 tops.

perfect I vaguely remember this.Inverter has 4 strings, two per MPPT. The strings just parallel inside the inverter though, so nothing stopping from adding as many strings as your heart desires. Your panels (assuming you get more of the same) are 46.55Voc and 11.13Isc.
This means you can put anything between 4 and 10 panels on a string, and 2 strings per MPPT with no clipping. Just make sure the parallel strings (same MPPT) are the same Voc.
No option to failover to grid if draw goes beyond the capacity of the inverter?Oops. My 8kW Sunsynk was pushed a bit hard earlier today and tripped out. I should set up HA alerts for high draw.

How is the Deye inverter any issues, as I am leaning towards Deye but some installers prefer Sunsynk?If anyone was wondering if they automatically upgrade your inverter, the answer is yes, yes they do.
I didn't want to upgrade my inverter since i got it cos it was working fine and ive heard horror stories in the past about how newer firmware broke systems.
So not enitrely happy but at least things are working.
Luckily my grid trickle pull hasn't increased like others have reported... mine is still in the 20w range and not 100w or whatever ridiculous amount its increased to.
I don't monitor my inverter often and haven't seen this log in the app, only on the portal. Was trying to find my SOH without going to the inverter.

Inverter capacity is 8kW. He was drawing 11.6kW, of which more than 9kW was from the grid, until the inverter said enough is enough.No option to failover to grid if draw goes beyond the capacity of the inverter?
