Am I Paying To Much?

IMO the 9600 was a mistake. I don't see the point of putting 1 gig on that card. You could have bought a 512 4850 for the same money. Also the psu might be underpowered, I dunno. It seems ok though otherwise.
 
9600 was a big b00 b00! And no it aint the next decent thing, not even close I dont think.
 
9600 is just fine and that psu will be fine for that setup but future upgrades will see you needing to replace it.

Big mistake! bought 20 of those for a client 2 years ago, and guess what...

Just over a year later, all 20 units died. Really crap quality.

Definatly agree wit this one. Bought a force3d 4850 for R1940 and it would eat that 9600GT during break...

And that PSU, Honestly i'm not too sure, specially if you plan on upgrading...

Just deleted my own post again, I have to stop doing that. Did you pay 5500 for the processor alone??

Understatement of the year. I would be able to reduce the price by R500, fly to Durban, hire a car, personally drop the item at your door, stay in an hotel, buy a 3 course meal - and still make a profit ;-) Literally!

6. Upgraded to 3GB DDR2 Transcend 800 RAM - R100.00

7. LG DVD RW - R299.00

8. ASUS GeForce 9600GT 1GB DDR3 PCI-E - R1999.00 Overpayed

9. Stiffy Drive - R79.00

10. Genius 5.1 Sound Card - R149.00 (I woulda stuck with onboard unless you've got crazy speakers and really good hearing)

11. Proline 800VA UPS - R599.00

TOTAL: R10371.00

OMW... just checked, and cost on that CPU is not even half of what you paid... Sorry buddy, you got screwed BIG TIME!!!

I'd feel dirty, violated, and ready to pounce with a bat if someone did me in like that!

No, that isn't the price for just the CPU, thats why he says upgraded case, harddrive and ram
