Interesting you mentioned this. I recently had to choose between a Windows or Mac setup for a hybrid personal/work setup. Windows is actually more powerful now for my use case. I can run multiple distros in WSL without the need for proper virtual machines. VSCode integrates perfectly with WSL which gives you so many options, and I have been testing WSLg which also works surprisingly well. In the end I went for a beefy Win laptop and haven't looked back.

yea think it may end up the same for me. i still have a few years of life left in this macbook but i may go the win route next.

biggest pain in my arse is going to be getting used to ctrl instead of cmd again.. pressing cmd is a lot more 'ergonomic' than having to press ctrl for everything - would be nice to swap those keys around without doing a hack job
