Amazon.co.za is live

No way at that price. That is insane. It's lekker for what it is. But not for that price.
I got a bargain it seems.
The core is R840 on their website. I assume it's the same thing? Seems to have the same AISN code: B06ZXWVZ3X
Think you got a bargain indeed.

Edit: The smaller online stores like Wootware are definitely not going to be able to compete on the smaller items if they don't up their delivery game though - even if WW had been cheaper than CM or TAL I would not have purchased from them @ a wait time of 2-5 business days.
Wootware has exceptional after service. They build custom PCs, troubleshoot and test hardware, all things that Amazon won't do. They'll be ok.

Does the PCMR have need of such services? If I were not able to assemble a PC in under 20 minutes by the age of 12, my father would have thrown me down a well.

Some good deals on essentials, been a while since I've seen Babysoft at that price.
Wonder if these will be regular or more "opening specials"

Yes.. Why the hell would I spend time assembling a pc when I can pay someone a very reasonable fee to build it and ship it to me so I can plug it in and start jolling.

Also to do a good job these days takes much longer than 20 minutes.

These days you definitely can build a 7 component PC in under 30 minutes. The time consuming areas are Windows installation and packaging it up for transportation.....and troubleshooting components if there's issues, so an averaged 1 hour allocation should be sufficient. A 2 day max delivery time is do-able.

This is the console peasant mindset. I said PCMR. But point conceded.

Ordered Wednesday, delivered today. Worked as expected if pricing is good takealot might loose some market share

Wootware doesn't just cater for the PCMR. I've referred many people to there over the years that just want a PC box build. Nevermind the Wootbooks and screen are great value for money. Unless Amazon Basics come here they'll be ok.

Amazon order finally shows as shipped. Shipping via DPD laser and parcel is currently in JHB. Needs to travel more than 2/3 of the country to get to me by Monday. Will be mightily impressed if it does.
