Not really necessary at this stage. 90% chance that Takealot are price matching whatever Amazon throws on their daily deals. At least for now for the bigger items
 
THis may have been covered in this very l o n g thread but...Do people here order from Amazon.com? How is it?Do ppl think that now there is an Amazon .coza things will deff be delivered to ones door? Ive always had issues and had to chase goods down and pay surcharges. It'd be great if Orders from their main site (ie all the stuff you see on their .com site) were a breeze too?

No problems here ordering from .com
There were in the old days when SAPO still existed
Now slow is Aramex, fast is UPS. Both have been perfect here.

VAT and Import duties are calculated and paid at checkout through Amazon now, so nothing to pay afterwards

Only issue is the cost of shipping, import duties and the weak Rand

Same goes for Amazon.co.uk, Amazon.de, Amazon.ca and Amazon.fr
Still waiting to try Amazon.co.jp

They'll hopefully ramp up their offering overtime, but I agree, they could've launched later with a better offering.

Neither Amazon or Takealot set the prices, the sellers do. Most of the sellers are probably the same

Why? Even a limited offering can be an improvement over having nothing at all. Additionally, it allows Amazon to thoroughly test and ensure the functionality of their systems.

On Takealot it's getting more and more difficult to find.

Amazon actually makes it easy since you can just select the seller. On their daily deals the majority of the deals are items sold by Amazon.co.za directly.

Doing a little test. Ordered from both Amazon and Takealot with both orders saying they'll be delivered by Wednesday. Will see if their delivery system is on par with each other.
 
Do they know what "today's deals" actually mean? It's still all the same with maybe 1 or 2 new items

They have a slightly different way of handling things. They seem to allocate a certain amount of stock to a deal. The deal remains active until the stock is sold out. There are also limited time deals that stop after x amount of hours.

I'm sure the amount of deals will get better with time.

At first I thought you colored over some dildos

Then I realised bonus holes come in all shapes and sizes. Although you could have gone for some color variety at least
