Edit: Was informed that 'advanced shipping stage' means that the order will ship soon and another agent said that I should definitely be receiving the order on Monday. Will be impressed if they pull that off.

My shipping Info didn't update till the day I was supposed to get my item and then only showed shipped about 6 hours before I got it , they did make the deadline and that was surprising :)

I think that when Amazon ‘shouts’ at a courier company it has a somewhat different effect from you and I

I guarantee it. A parcel with RTT was out for delivery on Wednesday at 8am, it wasn’t delivered, and finally arrived at 3:30pm yesterday. I queried it with the driver, and he told me that operations instructed him to leave the delivery for a day as there were suddenly “high priority” deliveries that needed to be done elsewhere.

Interesting. Takealot packages take 3 business days to get here. Since mine still haven't shown as shipped I would be very impressed if they make the deadline.

Just sucks that there's so much uncertainty. Just need to wait and see.
 
Remember back in the day when you got same day delivery from Takealot on all Daily Deals? Good ole days

So... not worth it at that price, I'm assuming.

I'm looking at this as a gift for my wife. I've been looking at Rocketbook's site as well, prices seem better there.
 
In amongst all the online competition, some of the brick and mortar stores are still trying to compete.

Got a Logitech G305 {Blue colour) for R829 at Computer Mania (convenient for me 'cos I was going to the mall for something else anyway) and cheaper than TAL (R999 [next day delivery]), Amazon (not available), Wootware (R993 [2-5 bus days]).

So ja, it's definitely worth checking out all your usual spots.

Edit: The smaller online stores like Wootware are definitely not going to be able to compete on the smaller items if they don't up their delivery game though - even if WW had been cheaper than CM or TAL I would not have purchased from them @ a wait time of 2-5 business days.

No way at that price. That is insane. It's lekker for what it is. But not for that price.

The core is R840 on their website. I assume it's the same thing? Seems to have the same AISN code: B06ZXWVZ3X

Wootware has exceptional after service. They build custom PCs, troubleshoot and test hardware, all things that Amazon won't do. They'll be ok.
