Amobia is Awesome!

I have not used my Amobia connection in a while but some of the other folks using it around here are also complaining.

Am giving Amobia a second chance after some response and arrangement from, I guess, their CRO (Customer Relations Officer)...who it now turns out had not communicated the terms of the arrangement he made with me to try and keep me on with the rest of his team as I got a call from their Accounts Dept demanding payment for the month when I had so much downtime I refused to pay for the service...Again a clear demo of just how bad their customer service has become...their website has been the same sorry static page for the past 4 years now...hmmmm, internet company really? Wifibre is looking more and more inviting...

No no no...Amobia not awesome anymore!!!!
I have been with Amobia since June 2011 and it started out with great speeds, awesome service. Installation then happened very quickly...was on a 3Mbps line and at some time they upgraded it to 4Mpbs with no increase in cost. Service was always quick and responsive...lately though I have found their service sucks...emails logging especially account queries go unanswered/unacknowledged...there's no comms done on outages (I think they kinda wish away the problems and think if they don't talk about it then the outage will go away and clients wont complain)...trying to get a credit note raised on your account for any outage is like trying to pull teeth out of something...connectivity has been erratic and now I just decided to jump ship and am in the market again looking...YahClick options are way too expensive and low bandwidth allocation...haven't tried Screamer yet but any other options on offer out there?

this seems to be the same boat im in at the moment - so Im also looking to jump ship now. and I was thinking I was the only person they dont contact when there is outages.

Our estate makes use of them. Whoever decided on them is a idiot. Have had so many issues and never get called back etc. The pricing sucks and the quality of the connection is crap because of oversubscription.

They are a 50/50. Either it is terrible or very good. Recently a co-worker got their 4mbps uncapped and he is very happy with it.

after reading up QUITE ALOT on Amobia, I now have mixed feelings (and I just to the techies to come and do LOS test, which is fine so I can get the service). Anybody in Kuilsriver area got Amobia? although I am going with month to month option, the R3000 installation is gonna suck if I get crappy service. :/
