ANC slams 'right-wing' expats

bleh...all thats happening is Africa is taking South Africa back, wipping out the work done by European thinking individuals and slowly Africanising it, socialism,communism and the whole cosatu band wagon will bring the economy down to its knees....unfortunately the left wing has won

You think you're kidding - I actually have an overseas educated South African black man, who doesn't like other South African black people - go figure - not sure what that translates too.

The Europeans wiped out the American Indian population and took over that land to make it America, Europeans also wiped out the aborigines and made that land Australia, but the Europeans didn't succeed in wiping out blacks in SA, in fact they failed, now it's time for them to go to America and Australia (800 000 have already went to since 1994), places where everything is Europeanised. Africa might fall in the near future, but it will rise again.

Dude, don't turn into a racist fool just because other people piss you off. SA belongs to everybody. And white people here never tried to wipe out the blacks, that's just patently false.

Also weird & interesting that there are 673 ANC "right-wingers" that exiled themselves & left the country - more than I expected, and even more interesting that there are another 918 expats in exile from the ANC itself...:rolleyes:

only reason the blacks werent wiped out was due to the strong religious nature of the europeans who came here. And yes Africa will fall..and will probably rise again, but all of that could have been prevented if only the the majority could see that a capitalist nation would have eventually benefited them by far more, maybe not instantly but still. Socialism only worked out in one country, China..and thats because they work like fricken machines, but even so they're quality of life for the average joe is not that much higher than average joe in SA....ANC failed, will continue failing I'm afraid but only at an accelerated pace

Well you see I get riled up when people start saying if you don't like it then leave. Because generally people slam ex-pats etc for "chickening out" I didn't leave because I didn't like it. I'm not coming back yet until I do like it. That's my perogative. However if anyone who votes against the ANC is being branded as right wing I don't forsee my return to SA happening very soon.

So what I'll do is fight for my country from afar unless that right gets taken away by not allowing us to vote (which coincidentally happened to me this time round although I was partly to blame). Those who keep slamming us ex-pats should catch a wake up, because although we might not be there our hearts are and those of us who have as yet not been victim to the "terror" that is SA crime will keep fighting. To insinuate that if you don't like it then leave is counter productive, because it is a democratic right to complain about the government that leads you.

If everyone that complained left it would leave SA in a very precarious position...

I'll retract my insult.. Don't wanna be the victim of a Nandos ad :D
 
The media needs to find a new word to replace "slam"... so over used and no longer effective.

mainly incompetent. she doesn't understand her role. if u listen to the sunday times clip (http://multimedia.thetimes.co.za/audio/2009/04/duarte-blows-her-top/) u'll realise she's terribly out of her depth. which makes me think that she's the person who squealed on Carl Niehaus, coz he was so much better at what she does, and thats why we were spared from her soundbites...

I wonder if all the NON-ANC voters left this country what would happen... Say all of them decided that on the 1st of May we are leaving South Africa... Next working day... Just ANC supporters... Please all you ANTI-NON-ANC voters what do you think will happen?

our priorities are just different. the only thing they can compare the current government to is the NP government, then it becomes the battle for the lesser evil. you must also remember that the lives of the people in the squatters have gotten better, not worse, so to them the noise about corruption is neither here nor there...:(

Yes we would cripple the economy. But do not think that you are irriplacible. They'll just get the chinese to do the work.
