Andor

Im at ep 4 and it's really hard to watch. I guess it gets better?
Stick with it. Every scene is about plot development and the subtle introduction of new characters who all have roles later on. Something which is lost in most modern TV and movies due to people wanting action almost immediately with their short attention spans.

It's a slow burn. Meant for people who are very into Star Wars. Don't think it's really meant for casual viewers.
Very much so. It's even better if you watched Rebels previously so you already know some of the characters and what role they play later on. If you read the comics it adds an extra layer to what happens to some of them especially during and after the battle of Hoth.

Finished season 2.

WOW

After what i thought was a lousy start, the series wrapped as the BEST star wars series yet. Thinking back i appreciate what they set up and the contrast shown in the 1st 3 episodes now.

Thinking to rewatch the best star wars movie again, but I will be sad.

Just fantastic

Rogue One becomes even better after a dose of Andor - it really was so well done. Some issues here and there with some of the pacing but it was done well

Peak television. Love how the final episodes tie straight into Rogue One which itself leads straight into A New Hope.

"Because I understand it. Because she's my sister rhydo, and she loves me! That itch, that burn... You feel how badly she wants to explode? Remember this. Remember this moment! This perfect night. You think I'm crazy? Yes, I am. Revolution is not for the sane. Look at us: unloved, hunted, cannon fodder. We'll all be dead before the republic is back and yet... here we are. Where are you, boy? You're here! You're not with Luthen. You're here! You're right here, and you're ready to fight! We're the rhydo, kid. We're the fuel. We're the thing that explodes when there's too much friction in the air. Let it in, boy! That's freedom calling! Let it in! Let it run! Let it run wild!"

does Kleya look like princess Leia? my brain insists it is so...
She certainly has that likeness and there have been constant rumours and fan theories that Kleya is a play on Leia

But it has been debunked definitively as not being so

I didn't think the Bix storyline added anything, nor the family tribulations of Mon Mothma, so I happily skipped through those. But the rest of it was stellar entertainment. Krennic's obliteration of Dedra was a particular highlight of the second season.

For me it is up there with quality TV like Gomorrah, Sopranos, Succession, The Wire and The Expanse.

Wrapped this up and have to echo whats been shared in this thread, its been top draw stuff.

What a show! No Jedis etc, but a lot of grit and i love how they show the sacrifice the guys made, Luthen, Andor and all the others (as mentioned in the last episode).

I dont think a lot of non star wars fans will be able to push through the first half of season 1, and they will abandon it, and thats a shame, cause its a bloody great story. When you think back, this all kind of started because of an incident outside a bar and then it all slowly unravels to some fantastic storytelling and an epic journey.

I forgot a lot about Rogue one, and after finishing this, went straight to it - Andor really unpacked so much that setup the events of the movie - its made watching Rogue one so much more enjoyable.

For the guys who havent watched it, enjoy!

I do like the minor retcon for Saw. Previously his mask was thought to be to help him breath, but nah, it is so he can get buzzed.

It clashes with Rebels though since there he suffers an accident forcing the mask.

Sloppy plot writing. The "take the evil robot and turn it to a good robot" was already done in Mandalorian. Then hammering on the dumb human qualities of the good robot was typical Disney = lame. The "saving of the princess" is also overdone and lame. Andor`s last half of season 3 went a bit downhill.

Checks notes, yes that Robot existed as an ally in Rogue One released before the Mandalorian and they never explained why he was on the rebel side during the movie.
