Android App requests / Looking for an app that does X - thread

I also tired to find an app that will force connection to a specific tower once. I could not find anything. I think your phone should connect to the closest signal. I think cell towers controls this to an extent e.g. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cell_breathing_(telephony)

in the event of being in an area like cape town cbd, there are a number of towers due to such density.

im onto something regarding a specific cell c tower in the cbd, but I need the flexibility of whitelist/blacklist ability so I can troubleshoot effectively.

Dear all

Does anyone have experience in presenting a Powerpoint presentation from their Android phone through a projector, or at least, with the aid of your Android phone and your laptop?

Also posted this question in a new thread in the Android forum. Thought some people may miss it if I only post there

I've been receiving numerous calls from a "Private number" since last week, but when I answer the person disconnects.

Is there an app that would allow callers that do broadcast their number, but block Private numbers?

I thought I had this function on my S3 or S4, but can't find it.
I can only block certain numbers or ranges by using my current block function.

I can probably create a white list and put it an 24 hour cycle, but that would exclude numbers that are broadcasted.

Stock 4.3 on S4.

Stock 4.3 on S4.
In 4.1.2 I go to Dialer/Call Setting/Reject Calls, then Reject list. There is an option called Unknown that can be ticked.

Probably similar place in 4.3.

This is the setting I recall, but can't find.
I have looked under call settings.

Edit:
I've looked, but haven't seen, but did find it now.

Lol,

Also have a look at Truecaller https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.truecaller

The main reason I prefer it over the stock option is that it remembers your blocked numbers - when you move to another phone, you just sign in again and it continues to block the numbers you listed before...

I am not sure how you would do this on the stock functionality.

PS re Truecaller: I unblock "Top spammers" because I am afraid it might block something that is important to me.

I do have it on my phone, but it does not display a number.

It is set to off.
I don't have a premium account.
Could that be it?
You dont need to have a premium account to set it "On". I am just not 100% sure yet that this setting does block private numbers. Will test...

Ah okay.
The setting on the S4 suggested a bit earlier does the job.
It goes to the voice mail when activated.

I thought you meant that True Caller should have displayed the number.
