Android App requests / Looking for an app that does X - thread

I saw a beta version of a battery wallpaper on the XDA site but the security settings on my tab would not allow the download, is it wise to allow a download from that site?

The app looks safe to me. /installing

Ok you guys are messing with my brains, cause one says yes then its a oh hell no ha ha ha.

ie: if a battery app wants dialer prems its a hell no :D

Speaking of which, I saw an update to the YouTube downloader app Tubex/Tubegod (not in g-play) wanting permission to make phone calls just the other day. I also said hell no & went to find another app. I still have the old apk lying around though.

Maybe reaching here...

I am busy playing an old classic game on my PC called Gabriel Knight. In the game you carry around a tape recorder. For every discussion you have in the game a new tape is created as per person or topic, and when you open each tape the contents of the tape is bookmarked in sections allowing you to play back the relevant parts.

I thought...maybe a cool idea for an android app?

So with a nice retro-ish interface you start a new recording (i.e. for a meeting or interview), and you get to file it, play it back afterwards and bookmark the parts of the audio to label accordingly. Maybe even to save time it has voice detection to skip past long gaps in the recording.

Anyone know if such a thing exists even in part? I see a tonne of recorder apps already and haven't checked them all yet.

Hi
I am looking for a app that tells you if you loose your phone connection.
If your phone goes off line then it could sound a alarm.
Would be useful if your sim card is cloned.
Thanks

Hi all

Im looking for an app that I can control which cell tower I connect to, kinda like a white/black list.

Does something like that exist?

Cheers

edit: I have root

Llama does just that. It's kinda like a mini Tasker app. I guess Tasker does that too, but Llama more natively in my opinion.
