Android beats Apple, every time

Your asking if a Device with a camera as an after thought competes with a proper camera ? :wtf:
The Nokia N8 is a cellphone with, what is by all accounts, a very good camera comparable to many point and shoot cameras. The iPhone 4 camera also holds its weight.

I don't think it's unreasonable to ask how the galaxy tab camera performs. Many laud the importance of a set of cameras in a tablet after all.

I have yet to see a reason why you can't use a Kodak P35 photoframe instead of an iPad.
Seriously, there is nothing the iPad does (a) that the Kodak can't do and (b) that pad like devices should not do to begin with.

Android does have potential but I don't think people buy products for their future development potential...

As much as people hate it, Android & Apple both have their pros and cons. undeniable FACT
There isn't a single company one earth that doesn't have some negatives points.
to me, the cons of the one outweigh the other so that's why I choose a certain product.

Many people don't care about the development potential, they just care about what it can do right now.
I can do way more with OSX than with Windows, so it's obvious what i'm gonna choose.
If you can do more with Linux than OSX or Windows, what are you gonna choose?

Many people aren't interested in development cause they have other things that interest them more.
I'm interested in music, so i can choose from a variety of apps like Guitar Pro, Nanostudio, Amplitube, ProRemote for my phone.
My interest being music production, so to me, OSX and iOS has way more potential than Windows/Linux and Android, so isn't it obvious what I'm gonna pick?

I wouldn't say that's a clueless decision.

Lol, did you even read a single post in this thread? Are did the fanboi urge just kick in and forced you to post some lame advertising video.
Did you take a look at some of the apps in that video? Only the iPad can do them!

About the apps, I did some research and you can take screen shots of all your favorite apps and display them on the Kodak Photo frame - it has the exact same effect as apps on the iPad because you are fooling people into thinking that you are working.

The 10" Kodak Pulse photo frame supports 2 card slots and 1 USB port—Secure Digital (SD), Secure Digital High Capacity (SDHC), Multimedia Card (MMC), MEMORY STICK (MS), MS PRO/MS PRO DUO, XD-Picture Card (xD), USB.
What memory card support does the iPad have?

The iPad can browse the web and email, what web and email support does the Kodak photo frame have?

Heaven forbid that anyone with an ipad or galaxy tab walk around in public, snapping pictures.

I would help the person by giving him a good slap behind the ear.

The ipad's prices are great, if I were in the market for a tablet it's the clear winner especially when compared to the Galaxy Tab's ridiculous price, but I still don't see point of tablets. However my smartphone pick would still be an Android (or a Blackberry because bis is truly a lifesaver and a money saver).

If there's not enough choice already, HP webOS phones, tablets, etc will be with us soon.

2011 will surely get interesting.

I'm with you on this one. The iPhone4 has one of the best 5mp camera I have seen on a phone, like in N82 levels of picture quality. On a tablet I think a good AF camera with strong low light (indoor) abilities can be very useful for "scanning" stuff to work with. Would be good to see how tablets do with regards to their cameras.

Does the Kodak thing do PDFs and books? Just wondering as that's what I want it for.

Not sure, there is a touch screen wifi Kodak model that can connect to facebook, but it was more just something I used to downplay the iPad as a digital photo frame.

Yes, I know, me and my weak troll attempts...

Do you seriously expect Apple to tell anyone of viruses? Their style would be to keep these (if any) quiet for as long as possible.

There have been cases, but you know fanboys... see no evil, hear no evil......

I don't like Apple as a corporation partly because of its obessive secrecy, control and the fact that it's a lousy corporate citizen. When Jobs took over he canned its corporate giving programme (what we call corporate social investment to which most major corporations in South Africa give 1% of after-tax profit - in some cases several hundred million rands a year) because of cost-cutting. He's never reinstated it, even now that Apple's making billions of dollars of profit a year. He screwed shareholders by illegally backdating executive share options. And he's never been known to give a cent to charity - unlike the anti-Christ Bill Gates. Plus the board deliberately hid information from investors about Jobs' previous health problems, which were life-threatening. In the world of Apple everything's rosy, even when it isn't. Android beats Apple, Every time? Right.

Lets take a look at the Galaxy, the most popular android tablet.

-The iPad beats the Galaxy on ebook & PDF Reading.
-The iPad beats the Galaxy on App Quality.
-The iPad beats the Galaxy on App Quantity.
-The iPad beats the Galaxy on Memory Size.
-The iPad beats the Galaxy on Screen Size.
-The iPad beats the Galaxy on Build Quality.
-The iPad beats the Galaxy on Battery Life.
-The iPad beats the Galaxy on Gaming.
-The iPad beats the Galaxy on UI, Interface Transitions & Smooth Rotations & Speed.
-The iPad beats the Galaxy on Price.

Those things are pretty high up on "My Personal" list for a Tablets Requirements - Lots of Quality Apps, Big Screen, Good Battery, Gaming, Reading, and at a price I can afford.

Sure, you can buy the Galaxy and get a Camera that the iPad doesn't have, if taking photo's with a tablet is high up on your feature list.

I'm not sure exactly what you are actually saying, but several of your points are either subjective to personal opinion or speculation. I have to agree that Android does not beat an iProduct on every feature (and vice versa)

Ebook and pdf reading - why is ipad better?
App quality and quantity - yes there are more apps on the appstore currently, but how many do you actually use our are similar? If there is a need for any type of app, someone will likely have developed it (or you better start our get someone else to)
Memory size - again this depends on the specific device, but doesn't the galaxy tab have a removable (thus upgradeable) sd card?
Screen size - there are plenty of larger android tablets out there if that's what you want, personally I want a smaller tablet that I can easily operate with one hand.
Build quality - why is ipad better? Durability or hardware looks? galaxy tab has a gorilla glass cover, ipad may just be considered stronger due to being basically one solid piece for the buyer
Battery life - granted, android systems in general have a lower battery life. I blame it on having more background apps and better multitasking
Gaming - what difference is there between normal apps and games? The only thing I can think of is processing power and 3d effects, both of which any modern android system will have little to no problem with.
UI and transitions - personal opinion, some(not me) see flashy transition effects as unnecessary(yet I agree that android could use smoother rotation transitions)

The thing with an android system is that you actually have a choice of what type of device you want (as opposed to just memory and 3g), personally I'm waiting for a proper honeycomb tablet before buying, if you want to go for apple I suggest you also wait a bit for an ipad 2 announcement, as normal ipad prices will probably be reduced at least.

for Ebook reading the ipad is better because there is nothing like iBooks for android. no pretty shelf with all your books, no built-in store behind the shelf, and it does not look like apples book with page turning effects/etc.
maybe the galaxy has an app that does one or two of these, but ibooks just rules.

Apps - Everyone knows the Apple store has a bigger variety of apps for it, and a lot of them are very high quality. im sure there are a lot of apps the android store doesn't have (medical & aviation tracking apps, for example)

Memory size - yes the galaxy has a slot but you will need to BUY it for an EXTRA cost, the iPad has 64GB built-in, for cheaper.

Screen size - yes, sure there are bigger ones, but then the price gets more too. I was comparing the R7800 Galaxy Tab to the iPad.
(If I was comparing the VW Golf to the Honda civic, it's pointless telling me Honda has an S2000 with a better engine) :D

Gaming - Most people would agree that if you wanna game on it, the iPad is the obvious choice. plus the fact that it has a bigger screen for that, too. :o

Battery and UI you agree.

Build quality I guess can be seen as "subjective to personal opinion or speculation" though. :p
