Tower 60 (Northcliff) was down till 9:00 am and international bandwidth went downhill starting about 10:00am and eventually gave up the ghost completely about 10:48. I've got no international browsing whatsoever.

Gateway Timeout
The following error occurred:
Code:A gateway timeout occurred. The server is unreachable. Retry the request. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Please contact the administrator.[/QUOTE] Yeah if it weren't so sad it would be flipping hilarious.... that one cannot even get onto a site to do a speed test without a gateway time out:eek:
They were also down on Friday, but not this long. I hate being a guineapig.smokalot said:Also just called their call-centre and they say International is down.
Correction..wireless broadband. AND this **** started directly after the MyADSL test phase. Go figurebuffalobill said:And in the week they get named the best "broadband". Maybe they still have hangovers.

Apology to Sentech Customers: 25 October 2005
Sentech sincerely apologises for the problems experienced on our network over the last couple of weeks. Our international connectivity is experiencing failures; our upstream partners are working around-the-clock to assist and resolve the problems. We are implementing additional links to alleviate the situation and hope to have stability across our international carriers soon.

Very poor Sentech, and very unprofessional. ( oh, and it doesn't help to blame your upstream providers - it's not the down-time that is most annoying, it's the lack of communication to your paying customers. )

Only prob now is that my mail has now started timing out big time...
[edit] Whatever they did managed to reset a couple of sessions I had open on various forums... Perhaps their proxy just needed a reboot!
