Hi there

I have a cheap spare chinese android phone (Invens) from takealot.

There are apps on it, some of which shows ads on the homescreen and notifications, that reinstall themselves after uninstalling them.

Names are like Loosen CPU, Smart CPU and Beautiful something.

Any idea how to rid them forever without diving into root and custom roms etc?

I think there is a hidden app service that installs them again when you uninstall them. I think you have to dive into the android debugging shell, to list all packages and see if theres anything suspicious looking and start to remove them.

I remember my uncle's S4 mini with that Vodacom protect. You just have a few seconds before the app blocks you. Had to remove it by ADB, as uninstallation was impossible by settings. Just had enough time to enable developer settings and start sniffing out the app.

It is indeed, it seems.

More importantly, why risk diminishing your social credit by your unauthorised actions performed on a CPC CPU that was released into the world in a year such as this?
its a spare, and got it for next to nothing coz of a takealot mispricing
