Click on the users name, then View Profile. On the next page you'll see an option to "Add to Ignore list"

Excellent point. Release a device that will cater for every need and make a geek cream his pants then in all likelihood Joe Public will **** it up. Like Linux. Tombstone reads: this device allowed total freedom, satisfied everyone (including Dolby) and sold 30 000 units...

The rub is in the balancing act.

Most IPhone users I know and I know a lot of them use their iphone for Calls. SMS's and facebook

Most IPad users I know, and I also know a lot of them also use their pad for facebook and occasional browsing.

If you ask them, the iphone / ipad is the greatest thing since sliced bread. Ask them why and they wouldnt have a clue.

Most Iphone / Ipad users can get the same experience for what they need from much cheaper devices but it is not an "Apple"

No, no device is perfect and does everything for everyone.
But, to be fair, Joshua Topolsky is pretty much the biggest name in tech journalism, and for the new iPad he said the following

"In all, it's a strong showing from the current (and frankly undisputed) market leader in tablets. Did Apple just make the best tablet even better? Yeah, it does kind of look that way."

To make the iPad perfect for me I would just need 3 things

1. Unified file system - So I can move files between apps and on or off the device from a PC like its a USB
2. Themes like MIUI has
3. Ability to install apps like Android from other sources/markets

have those 3 ticked and I would be the biggest fan they ever had.

1. Apple is moving further away from file systems (At least in as much as they will not exist as far as the user is aware). And each App manages it's own documents via iCloud. You can however access them easily on a PC
2. I think that will be a long wait :)
3. Apple doesn't want uncurated access. Because if you give people freedoms, they will use them, and there are unintended consequences with that (Malware, viruses). And Apple will be blames. Regardless of them ticking boxes saying 'Don't do this' etc.

What might happen is something like what has happened in Mountain Lion with Gatekeeper.
Developers can get a certificate to to sign their apps from Apple, which allows installation outside of the App Store, and if the app is found to have malware, it's certification gets yanked by Apple.
But that could circumvent parental controls, so I'm not sure if it will end up in that direction

On no 1 they could just as easy created a ICloud section on the device and just sync that. Very simple and would have been enough for me.

Each app accesses it's own section in iCloud. So for example, in GoodReader, I can add any file I want to to it's iCloud storage. And on my Mac (or Windows Machine), you can just use the desktop version of the App to get those files and copy then to your machine.

There is even an Mac application that creates local files on your machine automatically after you add the files to the iPad app. No need to even open the mac app, or copy the files manually. Can't remember the App's name though (And I don't like the idea behind it)

Default is restrictive, but with option for less restriction by those who want it. But they won't do that because the restrictions aren't really there to protect the user from themselves.

Possibly, but the formula seems successful. Maybe that's what people want. Those of us interested in more can jailbreak.

If most people like your product - and you make a **** load of money in the process - you're doing it right.
 
Samsung seem to be the leaders in innovation atm.
