Apple iPad beats Android in tablet sales

The thing about Asus for me is that its more than a tablet. The Keyboard attachment allows me to replace my need for a laptop most of the time esp when I am traveling like now.

Sitting in a Hotel with only my Eee pad + Phone, and I don't miss anything. USB access allow me to bring my Movies and whatnot + HDMI and I don't need Movie channels, and when I wanna lie in Bed reading a comic before I sleep off goes the Keyboard and I am sorted.
I like the direction of the tablets and the new Zenbook; the rest of their product range unfortunately is still the old crap (design being an after thought)

At least for these two driving areas it's clear design has been a pivotal part of what they put out to market, hence their tablet / keyboard designs are cool :D

Held the Zenbook recently and was quite impressed; sadly they didn't include a top end multi touch pad, so the tracking was a bit bad, and the internal framework was still plastic with a thin brushed metal laminate, but hey it's a substantial improvement on yesteryear :D

The new model coming out in June has a backlit keyboard, a much improved IPS display and a good touchpad - or so the first looks, etc. say.

I am waiting for that : http://www.theverge.com/2012/3/12/2864340/asus-ux31a-ux21a-ivy-bridge-ultrabook-specs-exclusive

/brings out inner 5 year old

Made you look!!!!!

Oh and thanx for saving me the BW

Hahaha, didn't need to; knew it would have never made it through Jobsian radar  :D

That part I must say sucks about Apple, content restrictions not only apply to kids as it should be I.e. they should rather tighten parental controls than restrict content :(. guess they didn't want the iPad to appear in any Debbie does Dallas remakes :D

You should go visit http://www.damnyouautocorrect.com <-- Love that site
Then you will agree with me... its Auto break not auto fix :)

Crap why did I mention that site! Guess I know where the rest of my evening is going.

Just upgraded my tablet to ICS, and it looks really spiffy compared to Gingerbread.

(yet another meaningless comment on this thread, but as most of the apple fanbois haven't touched an Android tablet, it's prolly relevant)

What tablet have you got?

Running CM9 on my Galaxy Tab 10.1 dude. Sooooooo awesome.

AutoCorrect works as well as voice dictation does....

I have to admit I've only recently disabled autocorrect on my iPad and I'm slowly building a list of custom autocorrections.

Where did you get a micro HDMI cable ? Can't find anywhere at a reasonable price.

Why? The mobile platform to target for exposure has always been the iPhone.

It does make Schmidt's comments even funnier though.

Bought it at a shop in Greenachers :)
Was about R50.00

I am sure any Audio Video place worth its salt should stock it and whatever you do, don't get it from IC, those mothers wanted to charge me R320 for a gold plated one... like in WTF!!!

As successful as Google+ is. . . including a platform as expansive as the iPad would make more sense than not.

I wonder how much longer iOS will have to wait for a google drive app because skydrive and dropbox are way more appealing atm.

Same amount of time the rest of the *nix world will have to wait.

I am still pissed about that one 2. Bastards use Open Source left right and center, but when it comes to support we the last ones they will cater for.

What I found quite odd is the DropBox special you get with the S3. I could see a huge drive in Android tablets if Google offered them a decent chunk of puff.
