Apple iPhone 16 range unveiled

That’s right … I bought iPhones (twice) and Apple TV purely to look for errors … and then had IVF so I could come here and tell you Face ID couldn’t tell them apart.

Much.

You caught me out with the most elaborate, time consuming & a very expensive exercise to say ‘the iPhone is average’

So average is the worst. That Huawei must’ve been really something special.
Well at the time.

Remember this was 2018 and it had ultrawide, macro, telephoto, manual mode, low light … was DXO #1 camera. What the iPhone have? An automatic twin lens system? Cute …

It has underscreen fingerprint sensor and faster & better configured facial recognition.

The SoC was faster in many apps as well
(You’ve seen that it’s still faster than my iPhone in a handful)

The battery was probably the best of the year. Faster charging. Reverse charging. Longer lasting.

Dare I say it … it ‘smoked’ iPhone is pretty much every department

I was curious.

Remember - I prefer to test things and make my own opinions ... I won't just listen to the marketing. It's the same reason I compared speeds to my old Android phone or tested the highest resolution on Apple Music.
So you gave them a key to the door...and then you are surprised that they can open the door?

And then claim this doesn't happen on your Huawei...where you didn't give them the key.

Amazing.

It also makes perfect sense that it would be less accurate for young children...willing to bet you also had the Covid mode still on but you would of course not mention that.

Probably went and registered both kids for FaceID with an alternative appearance and then want to cry foul...if this ever actually happened of course.

I registered one on Face ID and tried to see if the other could open it because I was curious. This is how things would work in the real world? Are you saying I should never have done that & or that speaking about it is wrong / upsetting you?

I’m really following your logic about ‘how dare you fool Face ID with twins’ and getting upset over it / mentioning it.

Then I registered one in the Huawei and saw if the other could open - and they couldn’t. It’s a real use case? Or don’t you think so?

No Covid mode.

I think what it sounds like is that you’re furious that the iPhone can let two people in … so you’re pulling all stops to show I’m at fault and faking a test?

I did a proper real world test?
I’m not sure what you want?

On one hand you say above that it’s perfectly normal … and on the other you’re implying that everything was faked & tricked because an iPhone wouldn’t do that?

Take off your Apple glasses before you reply because this post really screams Cult Member

@Jan this is actually a decent test for a new article. Get a few similar people and twins together, and maybe get 2 or 3 generations of iPhones to test. See who can open them.

Just be aware that two people open a phone, you’ll have the Apple gang making an excuse or telling you that you faked it. But normal people would be interested

Interesting video … seems as though Apple wanted Touch ID back and couldn’t implement? But why would they want an insecure biometric back at all?

Remember those emojis that you could make with Face IDs? Luckily Apple doesn’t do gimmicks like Samsung …

They couldn’t open the Windows computer though. I guess they faked the iPhone tests to open … and then faked these tests to make sure they couldn’t get it /s

It's not a button. Tech journalism these days.

Another button they removed

With the fourth-generation AirPods, Apple has eliminated the Setup Button located on the back of the Charging Case in other AirPods models. Rather than using a physical button, Apple has instead opted for a hidden capacitive button.

what does it cost to say you have a iphone ?
0$ ?
I mean the theory here in MyBB is that I went out of my way to buy two iPhones & Apple TV, because I wanted to diss it.

That’s the expensive part - buying these purely to say ‘haha you’re wrong’

You are testing two entirely different technologies not at all for the same thing really.

Go compare FaceID to other facial recognition tech.

Also go compared 2 person FaceID with adults not two babies who all look virtually the same and have no real facial depth.

Your kids aren’t even old enough to use the phone.

Again, you’re not making sense because you’re clouded by Apple.

I initially said that Apple should include both options for those cases where fingerprints are better. You’ll see in the video above, Apple were ‘forced’ to ditch Touch ID and if you read between the lines, they’re saying something very similar to me.

And again, you’re forgetting real world because you’re clouded?

I’m comparing to see if two people can get into one phone or another. It’s as simple as that.

There are tons and tons and tons of videos with twins that can get into each others phones? YouTube is filled with them.

But they can’t get into as Windows laptop or phones with fingerprint ID …
