Apple iPhone 16 range unveiled

They won't bring it back, it's a legacy technology they are working hard to phase out.
You haven't watched the videos, right?

Maybe watch them , remove the Apple glasses and watch the videos first ...

... because Apple doen't have it - am I right? *nudge nudge* ;)

What if they brough it back again?
I suppose you'll say it was different to the first & now it's brilliant?

You can't "bring it back" if you never took it away.

A re-design/re-purpose is not "bringing it back".

As for accessibility
But I find it strange that you're accepting on this (because Apple have it?)
You love Face ID (because Apple have it?)
You hate Touch ID (because Apple don't have it?)
You hate the idea of two sensors (because Apple don't have it?)

I think when we were discussing watches, you loved ECG (because Apple have it) - but hated the stress monitor (because Apple don't have it?

As I've said before, you base what you believe on whatever Apple can or can't do ... which is weird

It seems Apple were testing Touch ID ... weird considering what you told me?
And the sample above prefer Touch ID?
And they're also talking about having two methods?

Interesting that word "rumours"...nothing from Apple so why are we discussing?

Other people just talking **** about something doesn't make it so.

They are clearly struggling to make FaceID work on MacBooks, but it's likely a case of simply waiting until it makes cost sense.

There no "bringing TouchID back" to the Mac since it never left.

There are a whole bunch of conspiracy nut jobs out there obsessed with not using their faces for authentication for no other reason than they believe "the man" is spying on them.

Those types are not worth considering.

Apple will always test everything, doesn't mean there would ever be any traction.

And it would just go into cheaper devices without FaceID and losing the Home button, not a dual-authentication setup as that's too complex and goes against Apple's design ethos of keeping things simple.

I know right - you've seen most the comments about how I bought phones to demonstate how average they are?

But you saw from the earlier video that the majority prefer Touch ID and want it back, after using both systems?
Now you say it's 'rubbish'?

Whew

Yea - Apple isn't simple or intuitive or consistent ... regardless of what the super fans say. And even if they were - there'd be no issue with selecting a biometric type and using it.

You hate Touch ID (because Apple don't have it?)

What the **** are you talking about? Apple have it all over the place.

It's the most grating part of the entire thing is that they have it in some places and not others. It's the biggest annoyance of FaceID that it isn't everywhere.

You hate the idea of two sensors (because Apple don't have it?)

I never said this...I said they won't do it. Please find where I supposedly "hated" this idea?

As I've said before, you base what you believe on whatever Apple can or can't do ... which is weird

And you base your narrative on pure fiction taking words out of peoples mouths and doing exceptional selective quoting.

Majority? You are using a sample of people fitting the exact narrative you are claiming...of course they'll be a majority that was pre-ordained.

Most people don't want TouchID...they suffer it because they have cheaper devices that comes with it. They all want FaceID but aren't willing to fork out for the top tier devices to have it.

The only people I've ever met who want TouchID in a flag ship phone instead of FaceID are the above mentioned anti-cameras conspiracy theory masking tape nutjobs.

And you base your narrative on pure fiction taking words out of peoples mouths and doing exceptional selective quoting.
But that's true?

You do base everything on what Apple has or hasn't?
You've got a few examples right there?

I also think when most people hated Apple Maps ... you loved it? There's plenty of others

Your selective memory to suit your narrative is truly astounding.

I hated Apple Maps the same as everyone else at launch...and you know this but now pretend you don't remember that.

I only started using it a couple of years later and now find it superior.

Ah - so you don't believe the polls either?
So everyone is wrong? Polls? Reviews? Samples?

ok :)

Please explain to me how you come to this conclusion? It's very much alive and well.
I didn't see it ion the iPhone 1 6 - did I miss it?

AH - They don''t have it ...
