OK, the missus has been trying to talk me into a shopping trip to New York in December, and so far I've dismissed it. But now I'm reconsidering :D

LOL - thats the way it works - I sold my 30 GB last year as I was more interested in the video side of the iPod but the small screen was a great disappointment for video. I was getting rid of it in favour of the Zune which has a bigger screen but never even got around to even looking at it once it was released locally - lack of interest.

Had a PSP for a while for video but the small memory and the large size of the device put me off totally (plus short battery life) and got rid of that 2.

So since then I have been w/o an iPod but will definitely look at the iPod touch - I like the WiFi and browser functionality.

Its just a DAMN pity we do not have an iTunes store in SA.
 
The Itouch for me but the Ipod classic has a 160GB drive... man that is allot of tunes to get through.

I am becoming a proper fanboy
 
My missus will kill me if I get a new ipod considering what I've been spending on my photography. Pity my iPod photo is just so damn durable. :o
 
When will the iPods be launched in South Africa?
 
I assume that the iPod Touch will be compatible with all the docks available today - like on portable HiFi's and so on..

Speaking of that - looks like they discontinued the iPod HiFi. Maybe I can get one cheap now :)
 
Very nice.

With the massive amounts of ipods already in the market, its going to be quite interesting to see how many of those users upgrade to the ipod touch. I would think many, possibly even as high as 20%.

Added to that the price drop of the iphone, apple have some very good months ahead, that for sure.

Now all i hope is they get cracking with the new macbook pro, the wait is already sarting to hurt. :)

I doubt there will be a significant update to the MBP for quite some time to come. Sure, maybe a speed bump but I wouldnt even hold out for that for at least a few months.

Yeah,

I'm hoping January brings the main updates. I think thats plausible.

I'll be fine with my current pc till then.

Update the chassis.
Perhaps add bluray has an option

Those would be my main wants.

There is also news that core will be offering a 3 year applecare plan from next year. Being in africa, i wouldn't mind that piece of mind.
