Oh, you will. At this moment I have a parcel in Hong Kong, and one heading to Hong Kong. I also have a parcel heading for Japan and one lost in New York (gotta love the USPS).

meh, there are better forwarders than aramex, postbox-courier for one are a 10000x more efficient. haven't used aramex for about 6 months now, they are clowns., they just have lots of depots.
aramex are great for unimportant small stuff, anything of value or needed urgently, definitely a miss.

I import wireless chargers. I went there and asked for a quick quote:

Contact them direct. Say you have looked at the positive things said on the MyBB thread and are interested in their service, but the joining fee is a bit high. AGS have been known to waive the joining fee for referrals.

if you read what I wrote:
aramex are great for unimportant small stuff
I class wireless charges with a weight of 250 gram as unimportant small stuff...you not going to cry if a charger of no real value gets lost or delayed in clearing.
I import mainly high value items where each day delay is critical, so I will pay a tad extra to get it within 3 days.
Small ****ty things from aliexpress or amazon, definitely would use aramex, but thats about it, they are only good as a SAPO replacement

Aramex is cheaper, but PostBox's service is much better and you can combine multiple parcels.

yeah, they each have their advantages and disadvantages. It boils down to how urgently you need your stuff I suppose.

There must be a use for Postbox Courier or they would be out of business real quick.

Yup, not disagreeing with you at all. aramex are cheaper and have lots of depots, but with cheap you get what you pay for. Today I am shipping from myus, I will have my parcel cleared in my hands Monday/Tuesday at the latest - in this case the speed and consolidation is what I needed.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if you consolidate parcels you push the price over R400 and into customs territory, which takes 3 - forever days to clear. If so, this is not a quick service.

only with aramex, their clearing department are bad
postbox-courier and dhl both pre-clear your parcels on route, values way over R400

Parcel collected this morning in Hong Kong, arrived at DHL Hong Kong depot, and I have already received the clearing docs and paid the duties and parcel has yet to leave Hong Kong

*****SHIP FNB Promo code still works, which helped as my parcel was 0.50g and they charged R175 + R99.

AGS South Africa will contact the offices in the other countries on your behalf if there is a problem along the way.
