Aramex global shopper

7% is better than nothing. Not that you can get anything delivered. I'm even struggling to get an order of masks delivered - ordered from Shanghai before the lockdown.

Looking for a PCI parallel printer card. Its to enable a 3D scanner to work
Ordered from TaL but because they were unable to deliver before lockdown, its been cancelled

Go to police station. Say you are 3D printing items for an essential service but can't get a printer card as it is not deemed essential. Get a stamped letter. Send letter to suppler..

Finally received something that arrived in GP in April, yesterday.
Amazon order was cancelled though

My Amazon UPS order seems to be moving too, arrived in CPT on Monday, been in JHB since April 1.

If you are having trouble, and need the item urgently, just pick the item up. Worked for me. Even during level 5 lockdown

Item from end of March arrived today with Aramex, super happy. My Mid April order is also due to be delivered by Friday.

Anyone have experience with importing on behalf of a company that one works for (with its importers code)?

Can I use my own card (billing address will be my own) but shipping will be the company's address?

If need be can i get a company letterhead stating I'm importing on behalf of them, but what is the correct process?

I don't see the problem. You work for them. Any questions would be directed at the boss, so as long as he knows what you're importing you should be fine.

FedEx is delivering my package today at the NY office. Does anyone know if it will be received given it's a Sunday?

Thanks

Aramex south africa still alive?

Trying to call, but just rings. Tried calling track and trace, and tried my luck with their customs clearance department, no luck, just rings until cut out.

Yes they reply via email

Remember a lot of companies have people working from home due to Covid-19 concerns. Rather send a query via the app. Someone will reply.
If waiting for parcels from New York origin they are slow due to Covid-19 rules. It will take a week minimum before you will see your shipment on your app.
Shanghai is processing nicely, but as most flights are full of PPE for medical workers you will have to take a deep breath and wait. Sooner or later your shipment will get on a flight to Dubai. There it could very well sit again until another flight is found.
Remember guys, we only have cargo flights coming into SA. Everyone is fighting over cargo space and medical and other essential items take priority. Then there is the backlog as both SA and the UAE were locked down for a period.
Bottom line? Simply hang in there.

Had an item delivered to the New York Address 8 days ago according to the tracking . Not reflecting in my AGS account as having been received . On contacting Aramex I was told that the New York Office is currently experiencing staff shortages due to Covid 19 . This is quite understandable as New York has been quite hard hit by Covid 19 . What would be nice though is that if they are able to give an approximate time delay that this has caused . This will give customers an idea so that we do not become concerned whether the item is actually at Aramex or lost somewhere . I do find that Chad from the customer support generally responds quickly to queries in general .

I also spoke to chad, nice guy. They had about a week of no staff at NY apparently.

For perspective, my item was delivered 12 May, but was only scanned in on 18 May. Currently on its way to jhb as of this morning.
