Bro give up. I made the mistake of using Aramex recently for non-electronics cause it was cheaper. It shipped Oct 30th with normal express Aramex. Its now Nov 25th and it still shows its stuck in customs - which is a big lie.
I've literally shipped stuff from the US after that on UPS and Fedex and it arrived already lol.

Aramex has to be the most incompetent company on the face of this earth, even home affairs is efficient by comparison.

I have to agree with you there, absolutely useless. What's more infuriating is when on hold they keep saying how impressed you will be with their lightning fast service hahahahaha what a joke. Finally got the invoice for customs clearance now, almost two weeks later (and they not shy with their fees either, much more than DHL). Wonder how long it will still take now

Alibaba delivered to South Africa?
Aliexpress delivered to South Africa?
Amazon.com delivered to South Africa?
Amazon.co.uk delivered to South Africa?
Any UK websites (E.g. Topshop) delivered to South Africa?

Or if there is an article post, i can be directed to?

If I buy something from Alibaba e.g. clothing and send it AGS Switzerland office for it to be delivered to South Africa. Will Switzerland as a country charge me for importing it in and pay customs. Then when it go from Switzerland to SA, I pay customs again to SARS?

Sorry sounds like a silly questions but I think I read something implying this
 
This is the longest I have ever waited for a shipment to be delivered. 167 days.
I honestly thought it had been hijacked.

Use the closest Aramex Origin (address) to where you are ordering.
Bonded items occur no duty if travelling through countries that aren't the end destination. Case in point - you order from Germany it goes from Germany to the UK to Dubai and then onto Sandton.
Duty is then charged by SA Customs, as you are the end destination.
 
For those that ask, both UK and USA Origins are fast at the moment. 2 days max before you see the shipment reflected in your account.
Everything gets routed via Dubai at the moment as there is no SAA anymore flying direct.

If you are ordering a cell phone from Banggood or Gearbest which is not shipping to South Africa Which Aramex country would you use to get it to SA? Singapore?

Depends what you are ordering.
 
This was for a laptop. Bought a mouse and wireless headset early and customs was 25% so assumed it would be the same as for a laptop.

Amazon doesn’t always get it right. Feels like they are undercutting it as I haven’t received a refund for any purchase this year

Not really. Amazon vat and duties is always cheaper when doing it through them for some reason. They must have preferable rates.

That being said, my package has been stuck in Dubai for over a month now with no movement. First they wanted to charge me to have the parcel inspected as its marked as high value. Then I submitted an invoice 2 weeks ago and still no movement. Frustrating, don't think I'll use them again. Should've just gone the amazon route with priority shipping or used a different forwarding service.
