Aramex global shopper

Not AGS, but Aramex. I bought headphones on Amazon and they used Aramex. The shipment got stuck in New York for 2-3 days, but it was Thanksgiving, so I can understand that. Then it went to Dubai, and according to their tracker, it left Dubai on Monday morning at 5 am.

Since then, nothing. Haven't updated and only indicating that it is en route.
Aramex is really terrible.

They really slow at updating when it lands in JHB for some reason. Also took a very long time to get updated for one of my recent items. When I asked on chat, they said its already at customs processing, yet the tracker didnt show any update.

Anyone know if it is possible to claim back the tax you pay from the origin destination ?

For those that ask, both UK and USA Origins are fast at the moment. 2 days max before you see the shipment reflected in your account.
Everything gets routed via Dubai at the moment as there is no SAA anymore flying direct.
Yes mine was showing within hours, it was showing even before ebay showed delivered in the USA

Having the same issue! Forwarded via Switzerland and got charged tax before they could forward it

My uk address took 3 days to show in the system and that was last Saturday. No update after that apart from request to upload invoice.

If you are ordering a cell phone from Banggood or Gearbest which is not shipping to South Africa Which Aramex country would you use to get it to SA? Singapore?

Agreed, Hong Kong is where your shipment should go.
Don't use Shanghai. They are way more expensive than HK.
Shanghai should only be used if you are ordering from a company inside mainland China like Taobao or T-Mall.
FYI...
Hong Kong is considered a foreign country to anybody in China and they will only use SF Couriers and not Yuangtong Couriers (YTO Express) to send there. This is expensive, like using DHL instead of The Courier Guy.

I have checked both Gearbest and Banggood and they cannot ship to HK Singapore seems to be OK (for cell phones) Would we use Aramex Global shopper address in Singapore? Or how can this be done?

I checked Gearbest - strangely, no shipping to the US It is OK for UK and UAE Bangood it is OK for the US, UK and UAE (for cell phones) No tax free options available How would the customs duties, taxes or VAT work in those countries? Would one use the AGS address there?

AGS is so slow when it comes to SA, it was quicker for it to be delivered to usa and then on a flight to reach dubai than to reach me yet here in SA

Amazon rejected the waybill Aramex sent to me with the reason being the corresponding Amazon tracking number is not shown on the waybill.

Aramex then sent me this to which Amazon accepted and processed the tax refund:9407973175 - forwarder waybill (b).PNG

I make a screen grab of my invoice and add the local tracking number and Aramex tracking number.
As I pay for my Chinese purchases through Alipay I also take a screen grab of their fees and add at the bottom and add amount together to show the actual amount that went through on my card.
Alipay take 3% but my card is protected.
