Aramex global shopper

Aramex SA is super duper slow right now this time of the year.

I have 2 packages that were delivered to AGS USA NY on 21 and 30 November.
Both these packages are currently in JHB warehouses, with clearance completed. For some reason they seem stuck and just not moving to CPT.

So if a package already in my own country cant even move between 2 cities which I assume should still have some of the most flights, I have no idea what AGS SA is doing to get a package to Botswana.
 
Aramex Global Shopper isn't the fastest shipping. I had half a dozen packages from Amazon US around June/ July, the longest took 3 weeks to arrive through AGS. They averaged about 2 weeks.
If you want something quick, Amazon Priority Shipping is great. I had two orders from Amazon delivered to my door in November. First order took 6 days, second took only 3 days! $16 for Priority Shipping on the NVMe SSDs I ordered (excluding import deposit).
 
The challenge with this particular package is that it does not appear in my Aramex Global Shopper account yet it was delivered to their offices on the 30th of Nov. My angst is around whether they indeed have the package or it is lost.

Same boat.

Been sitting in Sandton since 4 December and no motion whatsoever.

Meanwhile I've received other packages locally ordered after that and delivered within a day or two.

Displates bought recently got here from Poland after 5 days from order.

I highly recommend you try the live chat on the website. Give them the tracking # that shows it was delivered to AGS address.

Funny enough, the 21 November package all of a sudden had an update this morning, that it landed in CPT depot, and is now en route to be delivered today. Can now see the driver (and his name) is in Century City on the Aramex app :whistling:

You can also enter the tracking number on the Aramex Global Shopper website (as long as it isn't UPS or the UK SNS #).
Sometimes a shipment sits there as they have no account to allocate it to.
 
Yeah this time of the year the service is slow. My package took a week to clear at customs.

Well.. I've had packages from New York reach Johannesburg in 2 days but then take more than 2 weeks to travel 300 km across the boarder into Botswana :ROFL:

Also, I ordered a monitor from an SA store and had it shipped to my Johannesburg address. The courier who shipped the monitor to my address was Aramex so one would think it would be seamless process. Wrong. It took them 10 business days to record the package under my account after continuous dialogue with my local Aramex team and the supplier in question smh.
 
Anyone tried Shipito or Ship 7 or even DHL forwarding how is it from USA to SA compared to Aramex which is currently slow like 4 weeks

Uh oh.... this is the reply I got:

Trust you are well

We seldom hands the shipment to our third party to deliver the shipment to our customers.

If our own route courier has ample amount of freight and he will not be able to complete all on the same day.

Orion is one of our third party couriers we use for deliveries.

I hope this information has suffice the query.

Order sat at Limbro for a week. They want an additional R250 for customs.

Yeah I received mine last week, for some reason it went through as low value though. I wanted the blue one, basically cost the same as the black from avo, R50 less.

How much did yours weigh?
