Aramex global shopper

Hold on a sec.. is it better to ship from Amazon.com to SA via prime shipping or paying import duties?

You can work it out. Amazon will have the weight. They also list the charges.
You then go to Aramex Global Shopper and calculate the shipping price according to weight. Add the charges Amazon gave you.
You then have some idea as to which route you prefer.
Take into account that AGS is an economy service and Amazon direct uses Aramex Express.
 
Parcel arrived today, Was ordered on Nov 20

Customs was R2400 and was a phone at the value of $550

Just incase anyone wants to import a phone that was my cost

I shipped the same items from the same mail forwarder recently - DHL out of USA on Tuesday, delivered to my door next Monday morning.

Aramex - out of the USA Tuesday, took 4 weeks to get to my door. :p :mad:
Now this recent package they lied blatantly - they told me Port Health had opened the package and thats what caused the 3 weeks delay as they were waiting for Customs.

I get the box, its never been opened since the mail forwarder. Not even a slight cut of the tape - AND the original Shipito slips and tape they stuck on the openings of both sides of the box were in tact and never cut.

Aramex just makes stories to cover up their incompetence.

What was your saving compared to buying it locally ?

It's likely that it went through port health, but they perhaps didn't deem it necessary to open the parcel after seeing the invoice
 
A package of mine is with Orion logistics. Seems to be outsourced by aramex during busy times?

Should I be concerned lol

Thanks man. What did you actually ask them for? Cos when I tried to get something similar from them they had no idea what I was talking about and just sent me the waybill again. Also, did you go through their customer care centre or another channel?

Had the same concerns. Phoned them and apparently due to their warehouse being full they storing some packages with orion. Nothing to worry about. Was cleared and delivered in good time.

Which mail forwarder is this? Kinda sick of Aramex tbh

Aramex is clearly very busy in normal times, now with Christmas and the COVID online shopping it hasn’t been that bad experience touch wood.

I told them what Amazon told me - Amazons tracking number doesn't appear on the waybill they initially sent me.

I contacted my local Aramex team in Botswana and they gave me all the info/docs I needed.
 
So i ordered some stuff from Superbalist on Black Friday and according to their site, were delivered to my Aramex Global Shopper SA address on the 30th of November. They are however yet to reflect in my Aramex account under "My packages".
I recently got some stuff off of Takelot and were delivered yesterday, 7th of December, and they appear under "My Packages".

I've sent a couple of emails to Aramex Global Shopper SA for assistance and also rang their Botswana offices and they are yet to give me any concrete feedback. Anyone experience the same?
