Aramex global shopper

A hobby shop in Hong-Kong wanted 288 EUR to ship two radio controlled airplane kits. I opted for Aramex (R1600), but now I got a message saying my shipment is held as it contains unacceptable materials. It definitely doesn't have batteries, so now I'm wondering if the electric motors are an issue. Customer support says they will try to find out what is going on. This sucks so much....

Previously we could shop items with batteries etc ala AirPods etc. What’s changed?

I guess it has batteries

Aramex sucks for any batteries.

But you can still ship small battery containing devices or laptops. There is a limit.

Amazon ships laptops, airpods, wireless headphones, portable MP3 players without issues by FedEx or DHL.

I ordered a drone last year, with no batteries and also got a message unacceptable item.
Since then I stopped using them.

I think it was something to do with the drone camera, I couldn't get a clear answer from Aramex, and I tried to explain that the camera is analogue, with very low resolution, with samples but with no luck.

I told Aramex to ship it to a myus address and they sent it to me with no issues, ended up being very pricy

Funny enough I just got this. And it’s out for delivery today and it has batteries installed. Only issue I have is that the customs charge is cash from what I was told which I need to give to the driver.

Took a month though but Aramax deliveries as of late have been the same for me

Aramex actually delivered on Saturday today. Thought I would need to wait till Tuesday.
December thing. Because of the amount of packages they have, they forced to deliver on weekends to keep up. All the couriers have the same thing.

TCG also delivered today to me.

Yes SAPO sometimes ignore Lithium ion restrictions.

EMS is cash only unless you ask him to drop it off at the branch and pay there with the speedpoint and card. You can then earn Ebucks on the customs charge.

Have any of you dealt with shipments that are marked as delivered by Amazon-USPS but AGS is not logging that they've received the package? Package claim was made where I uploaded the invoice and delivery status according to Amazon US but nothing seems to be happening.

Sometimes take a week. Usps marks it delivered when it is at the post office. Ags still need to visit the post office and pick up the package. They only go once a week.

If you use the external tracker that unlike the Amazon tracking status provides non-obscure information. It states that it was delivered to the front desk of the Sarasota, FL facility. Every previous order I've made had an update on the same day (within the US, FL time zone).

Yip, sounds like the notice for collection got delivered there.

Anyways, you can contact ags, see if they give a different answer than I did

I'm a bit concerned because I had a similar issue two months ago. I didn't receive any notice that they had received my package, and after about five days, it still wasn't showing in my account. I then found out it had been allocated to someone else's account. They gave me the person's cell number so I could call them and let them know not to pay for the package since it was being reallocated to my account. AGS agent also told me they had called the account owner but when I called them they said they didn't get any call from AGS, just the email to let them know there was a package pending in their account that needed payment which they thought was a scam because they weren't expecting any packages.

Usually I just put my feet up when using AGS but how that was dealt with scared the crap out of me. Now I feel I need to know about every centimeter the package moves.

[UPDATE]
There was a delay and my package is now present in my account. I also had a claim for it running which was resolved when the package was added to my account. Not sure which of the two is the exact reason for why the package is now present (delay or claim).
