Received my parcel in 2 weeks exactly from ordering online. Saved around R300 compared to Amazon's import fees+ shipping

Okay. I have had nothing but good service. Sad you didn't like it.

Hang on, you were waiting for the R75 refund? Post
#1059?

Lol, I thought you were like Warlord, totally fed up. :D

R575 refund. If you cancel in the 1st 6 months, they refund you the $45 subscription.

Someone from AGS phoned me yesterday asking if they could improve their service, seeing as I had used them 39 times.
I said really, that much? I can't believe that, but am too lazy to check.
I then bent his ear, complaining about the slowness of JHB and directing him to this AGS thread.
I said that they don't follow up fast enough with items stuck in customs, and their notification system is ****.
The only time they excel is when the item is under R400 and they can send it straight through to the customer. Even then their notification system needs work.

Good, I hope they read up here.

I am still waiting for them to cancel my account and refund my lifetime payment.

I am now part of MyUS and this far had a parcel delivered in 3 days since it hit their offices.

Yes, I am paying a bit more, but absolutely worth the service I get from them.

I truly hope for Aramex they can sort out their problems and inefficiencies. Unfortunately, they do not live up to my expectations and I cannot be involved with nor use their services when this is the case.

Sorry if this has been asked before but does Aramex enforce the 3 imports a year limit on your ID number? Ordered a few things from Amazon UK this year and UPS is pretty strict with this law. They asked for an importers code on my 4th order from Amazon UK. Just told them to return the package and got a refund.

It is not rigidly enforced, but I feel that sooner or later they are going to insist I get one. I am in the process of doing so, but I have just opened an ABSA account as my closest FNB branch upped and moved 10km down the road, and SARS want a 3 month bank account.

True, although if he was cheaper I would've gone with him, didn't think of what you're saying.

Also, Aramex Global Shipper offers insurance on shipments above US$100. Say you order a Laptop, it is insured by AGS (as long as you have enabled AGS Protect - found under each address).

Of course, you gotta read the smallprint...

29. Any claim for loss or damage must be notified in writing to Aramex within seven (7) days of delivery of the Goods or of the date upon which the Goods should have been delivered. In any event, Aramex shall be discharged from all liability whatsoever in connection with the Services and/or the Goods unless proceedings are served within 90 days from delivery of the Goods (or from when they should have been delivered).

30. In addition to Aramex’s standard liability above, Aramex offers an additional protection plan for shipments against all risks of physical shipment loss or damage from any external cause. Click here for more details about the AGS Additional Protection Service.

31. Accountable Mail

In the event that Aramex agrees to accept Accountable Mail on your behalf, then in consideration for Aramex’s doing so, you agree that Aramex’s liability for loss or damage is limited to the lesser of (i) the value of the Goods, or (ii) US $100.

Lady phoned me, asked to rate out of 5... I told them exactly what you said.

Anybody tried to sign up for free? AGSEASTER. Today only, hopefully not an April Fools joke.

Would not use them even if they offered me free shipping. Done two shipments via MyUS and both packages reached SA in 2 days. Aramex did not even have the courtesy of answering my e-mail from 2 weeks ago to cancel my account, which is still open.

How do I stop the $40 discount email I continue to receive monthly? Must I actually just pay?
