Aramex global shopper

If you have a tracking number that shows delivered, then PBC need to find where it was delivered to if they claim its not at the NY depot. I have had couriers twice deliver to incorrect location and both times PBC located the item. Since the 22 is just too long without a solution.

I will send tracking details again, but PBC can look that up their side as well. Thank goodness it was eBay, and I can dispute delivery.

True. But then again, I was comparing AGS vs PBC and got slightly derailed. If AGS collated I would never gone elsewhere. Even the delivery guy, a short man in his big AGS mini-van is friendly.
Anyhow, apples and oranges.. I have parcels heading to both Springfield Gardens and Jamaica at the moment... I feel very American.
 
For some reason the shipping discount code is not since yesterday. Anyone else experience this?
 
The FNB discount code still works for me, but it only gives R70 instead of the R75 FNB advertises. I've had this now a couple of times. I think it is somehow coupled to the exchange rate.
 
How do you guys send proof of payment for customs? They asking for proof of payment either by bank stamped document or bank statement. Problem is I only get a credit card statement on the 23rd. Go into the bank?
 
AGS is fast, bought an item off ebay and it got delivered in 1 week, if you exclude weekends it's actually 5 days, awesomeness

Weird - I bought something for 100 Euro in December and they never asked for proof of payment, only an invoice. POP was never asked for previous transactions either.

Is this new procedure?
 
i am considering ordering something from overseas, and i see aramex shipping is one of the options.
how are they in terms of extra fees?

I usually use normal EMS and wait....

Depends on weight. If under R400 and weighing less than 500 grams, they are brilliant. Under R400 there is no duty, and if you have an FNB card and use the first 6 digits of your card and SHIP when checking out, you get a R72 discount off the usual R195.
 
and over R400?
after making the mistake of using TNT i am too scared to use anything other then normal post.
 
The Aramex courier option is probably not the same as the AGS shipping forwarder service which we are using in this thread.

They are absolutely not the same. You want something delivered in 3 days, you use Aramex (or DHL). They are the courier option, and as they usually are sending out from SA to elsewhere, they are expensive. Even incoming express items are expensive, as they get priority, and are pre-cleared, a service you pay for.

You want something from an overseas hub delivered to your door a bit slower? Then Aramex Global Shopper is an option.

There is a rate calculator on the Aramex Global Shopper homepage, so you can see precisely how much the parcel you want to order will cost, and if you click on the HELP (homepage top) they answer all your questions, including how much duty you are expected to pay (page 2).

Ebay changed my delivery address, removing my account number in the second address line. Paypal cant change the address and seller doesn't want to refund and reorder. Will AGS still be able to ship me my order?

If you have a parcel heading for a hub minus your account number, let Olivia in JHB know. She will find it for you.
Ebay are known for changing the address to suit them. Put your account number on the top line and then your name. Not ideal, but it works and nothing gets lost.
