I had an item that arrived on the 16th in NY, but it's still showing it's in NY. Last order to NY I did (beginning of September) arrived in 6 days. So dunno if the tracking is just delayed or what but I still haven't been requested to pay.

And as fate would have it, after checking numerous times today, and checking again after this post, the item is now in JHB. I did send them a query email today though.. now just needs to get to CT. So maybe Tuesday if no hassles.

Wait for Aramex Global Shopper to email you. The email will show weight that you can calculate on their webpage. Anything under R400 has no customs duty.
Amazon will have most likely have charged you New York tax.

ok so shipment arrived in NY, now it says that it needs invoice on my profile - any idea where I upload this as no option in my profile under my packages.

Edit: logged in via ie and it showed pic of parcel and upload box. Nothing in chrome

That's weird I just uploaded an invoice now on Chrome.

Same, also works in chrome for me, BUT, disable ad-blockers on the AGS website, the 2 dont work so nice together.

Any idea how long it takes to change status? I uploaded invoices on Saturday - it's still sitting at "need invoice".

Usually a day or so (work days). But keep in mind its long weekend, you will wait an extra day or so.

They ship the item without an invoice so it won't be delayed.

Yeah, phoned them today at ~3pm, getting the "safe response" that there is a huge backlog at customs...
Even though my package from UPS only took 1hr to clear 2 days ago.

Package was delivered this morning. Total of 9 days from ordering product on amazon us to delivered door to door. Awesome service. Not even customs (headphones)...

There has been absolutely no movement on the middle parcel since 22 Sept. Support ticket is open and unanswered, probably as they have not located parcel yet. It's just two S7 Edge covers, but still, very off-pissing.

They finally found my missing parcel in JHB. Good for them. This is after I had given up hope and ordered two more S7 UAG covers from the US supplier. Grrr.

Aramex paid me out for my parcel that was "lost" in NY. Took them a month but finally got back most of my money. Just a heads up with the cover they offer for parcels over 100usd. They will pay you back in dollars for the amount lost and NOT rands so if the rand fluctuates like it had lately, you may lose or gain. I lost out since aramex decided to pay when the rand was sitting around R12.91. At the time my parcel cost me around R13.30 to the dollar.

Has anyone used Taobao before? For some reason I thought I should use it because I got this Aramex deal.

Now I can't get the seller to send me a commercial invoice to provide for Aramex because they only understand Chinese. It's a real mess up rn.

Dont they have an order page or email confirmation with the price?

I dont ask for a commercial invoice, like on ebay you dont get that. I just take a screenshot of the order page with the price I paid and showing its delivery address to Aramex, and thats usually sufficient to get my packages through customs. Exact same thing customs at SAPO usually accept.
