I saw the banned list and it looks like anything with battery from China is banned. So you reckon that UK/US is fine but china is not?

I have a TV part heading to the Turkey address. This one really is a headache - the courier attempted delivery twice, both times after 6pm. Finally I (and Google translate) sent an email to the courier asking that they deliver during office hours.
This they did on Friday, at 14:12...only there was no one to sign for the parcel and delivery failed.

Grrr. so I emailed Katleho Motloung (E-Commerce Team Leader) [email protected] and asked her WTF?
 
Amazonglobal Standard Shipping - Anyone know if this ships door to door, or does it rely locally on post office? Prices are actually cheaper than aramex...

This is the usual bit you see when you order from Amazon. They see the South African address and immediately calculate Amazon Global Shipping.
Yes, Its fast courier, like Aramex Express, but you pay for this.
I ordered a hardcover James Patterson book (The people vs. Alex Cross):

I could have gone through AGS NY for R195, but I cancelled and went Kindle.

I tried ordering from BestBuy on Friday using the Aramex NY address. I noticed the blurb about not shipping to freight forwarders but thought I'd try my luck anyway. I actually managed to complete the ordering process without issue but my payment was eventually reversed due to an authorization problem with my card. I suspect that's actually as a result of the Best Buy ordering process not being compatible with FNB's 3D secure. I think you may actually be able to order if you were to make use of Best Buy gift cards or a Virtual Credit Card like Entropay.

EDIT: Paypal wasn't an option either as they only allow US Paypal accounts
 
Question time: my Amazon order was delivered to the New York address yesterday afternoon. How long does it typically take to reflect under My Packages in AGS?

I don't think FNB 3D secure was the issue with BestBuy. Hell, I ordered something from Turkey and FNB 3D secure worked flawlessly.

As to an item in AGS NY - expect 3-4 days before it moves as Aramex Express items take priority and may fill airplanes for days before there's space for your parcel.

Have a look at the attached image. It was cancelled with a status of 'Awaiting Authorization'. I never received an OTP or was redirected to a 3D Secure screen or was prompted by FNB to approve the transaction. I received both payment and reversal notifications from FNB however. Tried ordering twice with the same result and gave up on the idea after that.

I'm aware that these items don't get priority. I was just hoping to see my order under 'My Packages' with a received status or something similar. So if I understand you correctly, my order will only appear under "My Packages" in AGS once it's shipped from NY?
