Really not happy with AGS. I ordered a package from China, sent to Singapore AGS address. Everything went smoothly. On Monday, I received an SMS that Customs want to see proof-of-payment to the supplier. The package contains a few 3D printer parts of low value (fans, print bed surface, foam insulation totalling US$17). I guess customs didn't believe the parts were actually that cheap.
I sent through the AliExpress financial page to the e-mail address given in the Aramex SMS, the person dealing with my Customs clearance. Tuesday, I hear nothing back. Wednesday I ask what's going on. No reply. I CC in the 7 people I have had contact with from Aramex since joining AGS. No feedback. The call center says no-one is answering phoned at the airport branch dealing with customs. Finally Olivia responds and says that the document I provided on Monday won't work and they need a credit card statement. They haven't even submitted my papers to customs yet. Aramex wasted 48 hours doing nothing. Today, my package is still with customs, and I don't think they submitted the paperwork yet either.
Meanwhile, I ordered a few things off Gearbest which uses normal Aramex. They phoned when the parcel arrived in South Africa to get my ID number and invoice and payment details, and the package passed through customs in a few minutes. AGS really is the lowest tier of service they can provide.
