Pretty sure they would...

They just wouldn't onship from that point...
But then if the customer refused to pay for the parcel or customs then they would lose out because then it simply gets discarded. (as far as I know).

My Google Home Mini is in customs, despite me only paying R448.25.

The R448.25 was the price of the Home Mini in ZAR.

Luckily it is listed as Electronics.

Why would you not want to pay..? Do you not want the item.?

No man, I just want to pay shipping and customs at the same time.

For me the rationale would be the FNB discount, and that customs and duties will be a seperate bill, but paying for the shipping MAY make them hurry the whole process up.

Tell me more about this FNB discount please?

Would they even release it to customs if you haven't paid for the shipping..?

Pretty sure they would...

They just wouldn't onship from that point...

I have paid now, I just thought I could lessen my time investment by waiting for the 'full and final' invoice.

Get up to R75 off your shipping fee by entering your unique promo code on check out:
The first six digits of any of your FNB cards, followed by the word 'SHIP'. E.g. 123456SHIP

Also thinking whether I should pay now, before duties, as I got a 50% off shipping voucher.
May just gain on the 50% on the duties also?

I wonder how you scored a 50% off shipping vouchers, thats cool. Could be handy on a heavy product.

Oh its marked as 'Electronics' on the AGS site.. but the customs document has it as 3304.99.90/9 (Beauty or Makeup Preparations - Other)
Mine has been classified as a media player. Is this still fine (its close enough I suppose just thinking about duties).

My Chromecasts were classified as Media Players and sailed through customs.
