She was wrong then..

I never used a card to register, and used the code after the 15th and it worked 100%
 
Anybody bring in prescription drugs before?

I am after Ocuvite Adult 50+, and this is what the Unacceptable list says:

Drugs Cocaine, Cannabis Resin, LSD and Narcotics, Morphine and Opium, Psychotropic substances, Prescription drugs sent for medical or
scientific purposes, drugs in prescription quantities may be sent by private individuals in the case of emergencies. etc.

Ocuvite Adult 50+ is not a prescribed drug, it is a multivitamin combo.

Drugs will fall under the pervue of the MCC... so it will probably be risky and you would run the chance of the MCC confiscating them or charging you a fortune if they misunderstand what the item is.

I use both my FNB cheque cards and they work fine. Maybe zap a letter to Aramex?

Kindly note that you would be able to move this item from JFK, however when it to South Africa, Port Health is going to require a MCC Form to ensure that it can be cleared properly. You will be able to request this document from your Supplier.

No person shall order any medicine from abroad for personal use unless the Medicines
Control Council has granted the said person an authorization in terms of section 21 of the Act
to import during a specified period a specified quantity of the particular medicine, which is not
registered with Council.
2.4 AUTHORIZATION TO IMPORT A SAMPLE FOR REGISTRATION PURPOSES
Council may in writing authorise any person to import a sample for registration purposes as
contemplated in section 15(1) of the Act. An application shall contain at least the following
information:
(a) name and address (both physical and postal) of the applicant;
(b) telephone and fax number of the applicant;
(c) licence number of the applicant as contemplated in section 22(1)(b) of the Act;
(d) purpose for which the application is made;
(e) proprietary name, dosage form, batch number, expiry date and quantity of the sample to
be imported; and
(f) port of entry.
 
Well I am pleased with the speed of the Canada depo. First time using this one, but it was that or NY and the seller was in Canada, even in Ontario so that just made more sense, even if he had free shipping to the US.

90min after arrival, it departed. I must have just been very lucky it arrived right before a plane departs and that there was space.

Then your parcel will reach JHB, where it will just sit. Some of my parcels had shipping paid for on 3 December. No movement or update since then.
 
My parcel is out for delivery today exactly two weeks after it was ordered on Amazon. Not bad, was expecting a longer wait.
 
Just signed up for AGS yesterday with a coupon for $40 off (AGSUSD5) so I paid $5 for the lifetime membership.

Today I used the NY address to bring in a Tic Watch 2 for my mate from Amazon. Told him it's a bad time when you consider the exchange rate and it's Christmas time (Customs) but he wanted it.

Hope everything goes smooth. I usually bring things in from Gearbest and use DHL / Aramex.
 
Ordered some goodies from Amazon yesterday. Will be delivered to NY tomorrow. Hope I get it before the 24th!!

I also have packages that left New York around the 4th. Still no updates, whereas they usually arrive on the second day.
Does anyone know if they close for the holidays? I'm starting to fear that I'll only get the stuff in 2018.
 
My package has been delivered. Took two weeks starting from Black Friday. No obvious damage as far as I can tell and the specified weight was spot on. Going to have two very excited kids this Christmas.

Hi, Guys.
Has anyone ever purchased and shipped an expensive item from the U.S. with AGS? I want to get a second hand drone from eBay, but really hesitant it'll get stopped due to the batteries or, if it gets through, that the duties will be exorbitant.
Any info will be appreciated.

Ask at sadrones.co.za
I know nothing about drones, but a little bit of searching found these guys, who should surely know if you can courier one in from overseas.
Also, see if you can import one through Amazon. If you can, then your eBay order should be okay, as Amazon use Aramex.
