I always put my name and then account number on the first line.
Good luck entering the Chinese. It ain't easy.

So that address how many times have you used without any issues? I am going to have the retail company also write my aramex code on all sides

One last thing... Your name.? Was this in Chinese or English

I apologized for my bad Chinese. I am in Cape Town, South Africa. If you are willing to send the package to Shanghai Aramex store and delivery? They will send me in Africa.

How long does it take for the parcel to come from Shanghai to jhb?

It goes from Aramex Shanghai to Sinotrans, who send it to Aramex JHB.
Sometimes I get a notification from Aramex Shanghai that parcel has been received and I must upload invoice before the TaoBao app informs me of delivery.
If I'm fast and upload invoice, the parcel moves out of Shanghai immediately.
 
I have a package in customs Johannesburg, wherever that may be, I'm from Cape Town. It has been there for 4 days now. Is there any way to fast track my parcel through customs with Aramex?

So this parcel is an online clothing store ... I do have an invoice and maybe should just email Aramex Shanghai the invoice regardless to speed things

I have a package (actually 7 all over the world currently, but talking about one) that has been in customs for the last 10 days. Every time I query it with Aramex they tell me it is being released, but I need to confirm my ID. I did do this every time, but still waiting. POS company!

My Chinese suppliers were complaining about the address I gave them, so, even though every parcel has reached it's destination and been sent on to me, I finally contacted Aramex and asked for the 100% correct address:

Great, I think, let me amend the Taobao address.
Not a damn could I do that.

Taking the address apart, we get the following:
中国大陆 = Mainland China
上海市 = Shanghai
闵行区 = Minhang
沪青平公路248 = Huqingping Highway 248
弄15 = Lane 15
号1 = Number 1
号库 201105 = No. 201105
电话: 4006318388 = Phone 400 631 8388

On Taobao we select - Mainland China 中国大陆
Then we are presented with 3 tabs
City: Shanghai 上海市
District: Minhang 闵行区
3rd tab gives a list of areas I thought were roads. Problem was, Huqingping Highway was not on there, and the address kept defaulting to the first name on the list.

Finally, in desperation, I looked up the address of Sino-trans, who I knew must be close as Aramex work with them. As luck would have it, they are in the same building, with the same address - and they gave a google map reference, albeit in Google Chinese.

Using my other computer monitor, I opened up a Google Map of the area with street names translated into English, and I found out what the last tab would be - Hongqiao Town 虹桥镇

You see, the Chinese put their street address backwards, starting with the city and ending the address with the building number...and the address never said that Aramex was located in a town (it was not a road or highway) in Minhang, Shanghai, called Hongqiao.

The biggest klue was the fricking big airport just to one side of the Aramex address, called Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport.

So now I have two parcels ordered an hour ago, soon to be winging their way to the (Please God), corrected address.

I shall keep you posted.

No problems with London for me, but that was last week.

I saw the Aramex Global Shopper community forum, but this MyBB thread is very prominent online, and a quick search will certainly send a Newbie here.

ok found out what happened. Ebay seller didn't add my CPT**** code to the address, and also didn't send the tracking number on the order. A bit annoying, so not the mistake of AGS at all.

Sent olivia an email, hope I can get it on to my account. Anyone have a number I can reach her on?

Grrrrrreat thread this ... Ok my parcel is going via SF express to Shanghai address as @DeeinSouthAfrica gave me ... Here is holding thumbs it arrives I have a tracking number luckily and can see where it is

(After so many attempts to get them to include my account number on my order I think they forgot to ...agghh. ). Will need to call AGS once I see the parcel was receipted

Those that shipped to the Shanghai AGS location which courier was used in that local leg?

Six zillion couriers deliver it seems. What we can't seem to get our head around is just how huge Shanghai is.
It is self-governing, so think of it as a country. There are districts and towns that make up Shanghai, and millions of people.
We had someone visit our shop from Shanghai, and he says the city spreads easily from Table Mountain to Worcester.

Having said this, the most reliable courier seems to be SF Express.
