Aramex global shopper

Probably busy handling all my shipments and ignoring you.
Seriously, I want to pay for all my shipments and get 15% off. Unfortunately Aramex are screaming that they want da munney.
Some shipments are still en-route.
They can wait.

We are also experiencing very slow shipments from Aramex. Shipment is now over a month with Aramex SA.
Got a reply email stating its due to "customs delay".

Find this a little odd as I just received a package within a week from another freight forwarder.

Aramex still don't offer a service to let you send stuff from multiple stores to a postbox and then send them all at once... do they?

Anyone know any services that do?

Hi

So ive been digging into the Tax laws and questioning why Skynet is charging customer clearance on imports below R500
Here is their last response.Still doesnt make sense.Does anyone know what it means?F4650E0D-8AA9-4A53-843F-05A2A8CCC3B2.jpeg

Section 38 is a simplified clearance procedure for goods of no commercial value, declared on DA306 (you are the end user).
It looks like they are clearing a number of shipments at once using this fast clearance process (consolidated DA306) and paying SARS 20% to do so (which they are passing on to you.)
Perhaps it is time to contact customs directly to ask WTF?

Have you used them before? How much do they charge?
I have used them. They are okay for items for personal use, but I now import commercially so use Aramex Flex.
They are more expensive that Aramex as they Express Courier in. The delay is getting your items into them to be consolidated and then dispatched Express.
You can work out price from their webpage.

so it seems like Aramex didn’t charge me a single customs clearance fee for any items below R500.

However, last week I received a shipment and I was charged the 20% fee through the post office.

Some cheek from SAPO or Aramex takes the hit for these packages’ clearance...

On another note, there is something seriously wrong at Aramex, I don’t think it has to do with customs, it’s bigger than that.

Olivia doesn’t respond to my mails anymore and I don’t get OoO replies. Where previously she ever replier even though she was out of office.

Isn’t there an Aramex rep on this forum?

Hi Dee,

If I want to ship something from one online store in the US (for personal use) that does not deliver outside of the US and the value would be under R500, what would be the cheapest/easiest way to ship it to SA?

Thanks

That is one of the reasons why Aramex Global Shopper exists - the New York address fools the seller into thinking that the buyer is American (and not from that scamming country called Africa - capital city, Nigeria).
It costs a bit of money to join, but email [email protected] and ask for a discount.

People, you have 3 days left to get the 15% discount on shipping using the promo code MOTHERSHIP19.
Only enter the promo code on Aramex Global Shopper to get the promo code. If you use the overseas Shop & Ship app you will see the rest of the world only get a 10% discount. Shame.

Just a heads up. For Aliexpress use Aramex Hong Kong.

Biggest delay was from Ali to Aramex. After that, delivered in just over a week.

3 weeks in total.

What shipping service to you use to send to Aramex in High Kong. 'AliExpress Standard Shipping'?

Yes and its sometimes free, which is cool.

I've thought about doing this. But my concern is that if the Aliexpress seller uses China Post as the Aliexpress standard shipping method, and then there is no signature required or accurate tracking which could result in a lost package with no record of Aramex receiving it.

Their tracking feature on free shipping is pretty jacked up but there other options. If your parcel goes missing if will most likely happen here at the sunny South African post office.

Wish I could use this code. My parcel has been stuck at the NY depot since last Wednesday.

Not sure if everybody else is also experiencing slow service.
