I work in this industry. White people just can't party like black people. And no I'm not saying they are trashing everything. They party and dance whether they are dressed in jeans or a designer dress.
White people.. not so much.

I'm just asking questions. Yes I know the lady with the comments are a racist. But the venue and the rules.. not so much.
I work at weddings. 80% of white weddings are boring as hell and people leave at 9 in the evening.
The one i was at this weekend we had a traffic jam just after they opened the dance floor.

Look I have been to ridiculously fun weddings where the couple was white and I have been to boring black weddings. Rule of thumb.. it is going to be a loonnnng night when it is a black wedding. :D

And we all know black and white... when the alcohol flows there is bound to be some kind of crap.

I was just asking about the biker and student rule as there is no race attached just a blanket for a kind of "party culture".

Call me a racist. White people just can't party like blacks. ( yes there is always the exception to the rule)

I still don't entirely believe the article and I do believe that the City Press is being racist themselves. I still want to see the original e-mail as I believe that the quoted parts are not necessarily true.

No. Being critical of racism, exploitation, oppression is not racist or self hating.
Some of us try to leave the labels behind and just see humans as humans.
I can criticise any person, irrespective of whether or not we share racial or ethnic heritage.
This doesn't make me 'self hating'
The only place I've heard this term before is against jews who are anti-zionist and clearly it's a misnomer as being jewish and being zionist are not the same thing at all. It's used to make jews who do not support israel's politics feel guilty as if they're somehow letting the 'side' down

I know and agree. I'm addressing R13...'s statement that you can't be racist against white people because you're white. Just pointing out that the accusation usually takes the 'self-hating' angle, not saying you are one.

I think I had an altercation with Chevron at some point about something. I can't quite remember what it was about but it obviously left a lasting impression on him!
 
I don't understand what is happening here... is it that a group pulled down a brochure they thought might be ineffective as a marketing strategy because it contained a black bride when their main clientele has been white?

If so I don't think that is racist. Just marketing.
