Article: Centurion power cut caused by vandalism

They say they will restore power at midnight tonight.. maybe..
 
Power just went off on the other side of that station with a mighty bang and fizzle. Ambulances and firetrucks have since raced past.

Just another day then. Have a look at "Centurion concerned citizens" facebook page and you'll be amazed about the amount of crime going on every day in Centurion.
 
Its funny. Years ago I read a book by two analysts. 'Quest for blue Sky - South Africa's next 20 years'. Written in '95.
One interesting thing they predicted was attacks on the Electricity infrastructure - partly due to copper theft, partly in protest of lack of service delivery.
 
Once again I say the vandals should be charged with TREASON and get the special state lead line up tasting event...

I have joined the group an I agree with you, it's crazy the amount of crime they are reporting I thought centurion was one of the safer places to stay.

No power here by me I wonder how long it will take to repair such extensive damage, drove past the substation and it's not looking good.

What are the chances of so many areas in Centurion being hit most of Centurion is in going to be pitch black tonight.
