Seems Schitty of Tshwane did pretty well in restoring power quickly. Just wish the thieves would get electrocuted.
According to CCC on facebook there were 4 attempts last night alone bringing the total number of attacks on substations in Centurion to 8 in the past couple of day's. Apparently the contracts of the security protecting the substations was cancelled as there are no funds left.
I really hope so, holding thumbs.
Initially was announced that the earliest they could fix it was by Friday.

I bet you my left nut. The same security company let off are the ones doing it to show they need the contract to defend these substations.
Well I spoke to Ina Strydom(DA) and according to her the Mayor is Sputla Kgosientso, which looking at his FB page he is ANC.
She also said he was the one who cancelled the contracts.
I also think so because normally they take the cables then leave everything else more or less in place but they are out to detroy the substations as we have seen.
Shoot these Motherfishers on sight. Make it such, that all electrical installations, substations, pylons etc have a 20m no go zone. Make the good for nothing army guard all these electrical assets. It seems like we're under siege here

We are under siege and I don't think we have seen the last of it either.
Some security company's such as Copwatch and CHUBB are starting to patrol the substations but I don't think it is going to be enough.

I think the issue will be one security guard vs a bunch of armed criminals. By the time the SAPS has responded you will have one dead or tortured guard.
