All religion should be feared, the more extreme & violent ones more so!

Sharia law is extreme, the majority of muslims support sharia law which means the majority of muslims are extremist.

What is sharia? and what is the difference between a muslim that supports sharia and one that does not?

The biggest most single threat to non-Muslims is the fact that Muslims ALL believe in creating a caliphate. The bigger the better. That is the driving force behind the Middle east conflict at the moment. And they will keep fighting until the whole world is a caliphate. I have never met a Muslim yet who doesn't want the "Promised" land to come to life.

Hint: Kinapping, murder, rape, honour killings are not part of shariah. Despite what many here claim. It is in fact the opposite, since these crimes carry far more severe punishments than in the west.

To aid your understanding, any old band of thugs with their old tribal (not religious) traditions still imbued in their thinking, who act out contrary to the teachings of Islam are not the ones who decide what Shariah law is. They do not have the power to change what Shariah law is. And many of them, including groups like ISIS and Boko Haram act in direct contradiction to Shariah. If they lived in an Islamic state (which has not existed for many many years) they would have surely been sentenced to death.
Also worth noting that every single Muslim I have ever encountered in South Africa distance themselves from these groups. Not one that I know believe that these people are doing any good. I am sure there exist some who do, as there are always those who are decieved.

Tribal tradition is different to religious practice. Terrorism has no place under Shariah law, in fact there are strict rules which guard against oppression, and failure of a Muslim to adhere to it is the fault of that person, not the religion.

That being said, there will always be those here who will grab the opportunity to say otherwise without any proper knowledge on the topic.

My condolences to the Korkie family, this is a sad story that should never have happened.

So the victims of rape, blasphemers, apostates that get very harsh or death sentences from big islamic courts in cities are now tribal traditions out in the sticks?

You can chant religion of peace, ignorant kafir, not real muslims etc all day long but it is what it is.

Apartheid was whites, majority of whom were christians. Are we still today generalising?
