Article: Stop blaming apartheid: Trevor Manuel

It is time for government to take responsibility for its actions, Minister in the Presidency Trevor Manuel said on Wednesday.

"We [government] should no longer say it's apartheid's fault," Manuel told reporters at the government leadership summit in Pretoria.
 
He's been repeating this for some time now.

I wonder when he is going to realise that the ANC is not listening. :rolleyes:
 
He has a death wish or disappearance wish because the cadres will not take kindly to doing away with their poor excuse and scapegoat.

He did not stand for re-electment as an ANC NEC member AFAIK. That alone speaks volumes.

Question - has the ANC done a terrible job at running the country over the last +- 20 years?
Question - has Trevor Manual been an integral part of the ANC over the last 20 years, as a member of the NEC, it's highest ranking decision making body, a representative in parliament and an ANC minister?

Hint: the answer to both questions is 'yes'

No idea how you reached that conclusion. No one said he didn't have anything to do with the ANC for the last 20 years.

I'm disppointed he hasn't been fired.

Because just like Marinus van Schalkwayk walked over to the other side ... just so would I appreciate him walking over to our side.
