Do you see the South African ISP market as becoming the new one stop shop, services started as ADSL and web hosting, now the product offerings are extending to the mobile phone and cellular data space, some ISPs offering IP camera NVR services, Hosted PABX systems, hosted backup.
Do you think that one entity taking on to many services could ultimately impact on customer service and possibly service availibility?
Two many offerings and not providing enough support to deal with technical issues or downtime.
Lastly do you think the South African hosting space will begin to offer better service offerings, i.e 24/7 support for web hosted platforms as business and the global markets do not operate from 9 to 5 especially because e-commerce has grown so much in recent years.
Locally you call in for web server support and generally you're told to log a ticket for the guys to look at in the morning, where as overseas you can have your box/environment up especially if critically impacted, fixed in two hours.
