1. Vumatel are installing fiber in our suburb, which is a "dark fiber" installation. Will Afrihost be able to give a FTTH service without having to use fiber service from Telkom or another provider?

2. Why does prepaid mobile data expire after 30 days? And if prepaid data is purchased to last 365 days, why is it double the price for the same package?

Does Telkom inform you when their exchanges are overloaded?
 
Why don't you prove to us that you are the best ISP by being the first ISP to publish your peak contention ratios.

Firstly; thank you for Afrihost

Will you consider in the future to have preference for streaming sites (Showmax; Netflix; etc) making them uncapped; and unshaped as an add on package on accounts? Perhaps even included as an afrihost plus benefit?

Now that you have access to millions of MTN subscribers are you planning on infiltrating the education sector in terms of offering access to useful scholar materials after purchasing certain "educational data packages". If so could you please elaborate on how these packages will benefit scholars and which educational level you are targeting.
 
How much ADSL data do your customers pay for in total and how much IPC do you buy?
 
Why do you promote a phone that you yourself don't use?

I cannot explain how good Afrihost has treated me with all my queries in the past.

What is Afrihost's secret to the customer-centric culture they've implemented in a demanding ISP market?
 
Many people were quite angry with Afrihost for "selling out" to MTN a couple years ago. How has the transition been to date and has Afrihost managed to achieve the kind of growth and direction envisaged, or has the takeover not really gone to plan?

Additionally, following the announcement of Afrihost discontinuing it's double mobile data deal (presumably an MTN decision), a lot of people moved over to Telkom, Axxess (Which is technically still Afrihost) and also other competitors - but has this in your eyes been a big mistake and how are you trying to win back those users?

Most readers here are probably techno buffs, but thousands of people out there (especially older ones) are not. Could you explain in layman's terms the difference between capped and uncapped internet, and also how a service provider like Afrihost works with Telkom to get ADSL into my home? So many of my friends need (and can absolutely afford) ADSL, but they're afraid, because they don't understand it. Helpdesk staff give answers, but they tend to be way too technical for us old timers.
 
From Afrihost's humble beginnings was there anyone in particular outside of those already involved with Afrihost, who played a significant role in helping you become the person you are today?
 
Is it possible to supply a ADSL package where upload speed = download speed? Not all of us use internet for browsing or playing games. An upload speed of 10% of download speed is not ideal for remote desktop applications.
 
Do you have any advice for a scholar in their last year of school wanting to get into the industry?
