yea i know but i really believe that if they did enter it would either be as Porsche or Audi.
Why dont just call themselves Hitlers Prodigy?

They won't be allowed to compete by name only. It's punishable by prison terms in Europe to even praise the man of anything. Ask David Irving....lol.
Yes, and Prodrive has the former BAR technical director in it's team, along with many previously employed Formula 1 engineers etc.
Lol was a joke.
I Think VW will be best, They can take on Toyota Renault and Honda.
They can build their name in the US, they look down on VW.
I will definatley support them win or lose!!
But I think they have everything already, the finances, the technology everything, I wonder what their reason?
Good at making rally and GT cars ... the last time a winning rally team entered F1we had the money sucking disaster that is Toyota F1.

hmmm how would an audi pwn a ferrari hahahahah or mclaren, both 2 of the fastest cars in world on both roads and F! race track
im surprized a huge company like audi does not have a f1 team to be honest
Costs are coming down with the new technical regs.
South Korea is hosting their first F1 race in 2010 and I would not be too surprised if Hyundai get's involved then with monetary backing from the likes of Samsung or LG.
beeep wrong, the fastest road car atm is none other than the Bugatti Veyron, with an average top speed of 253.81 mph (thats 408.46km/h) it makes Ferrari owners blush and hide hide the keys lest anyone knows they drive one..
No it's not...Barabus TKR is the worlds fastest car. With an average top speed of 270 Mph. And a 1005 Bhp engine.

But yes, it still does make any ferarri blush. In both style and it's astoundingly fast acceleration.
Read the comments on that page, seems like a bunch of BS. These are claimed figures, not actual tested figures. 1.67 seconds for 0-96km/h is virtually impossible, traction being the main problem. A few comments from there:No it's not...Barabus TKR is the worlds fastest car. With an average top speed of 270 Mph. And a 1005 Bhp engine.

“I can't find a weight claim for this thing. Anybody else as skeptical as I am about that 1.67 seconds to 60?”
Yes, very much so. I’m not concerned with power to weight as much as I am about actually translating all that HP to the ground, especially if the car happens to be light.
“I'd like to see the tires able to handle 270 mph from a heavy road car. They must be using slicks to acheive that number for the 0-60.”
Yup, considering the Veyron is capable of traveling faster, and VW has repeatedly indicated it’s governed at it’s top speed because of tire technology (the same limit Brabus and the rest keep running into with large cars and high rates of travel), I’m going to call BS.
“Another Vector.”
Yup, another in a long line of blown American v8s with huge promises. Silly VW using that crazy W16, they should have just used a v8 with a pair of turbos, what were they, a few hundred million dollars and dozens and dozens of engineers thinking?
I’m not holding my breath on this one. Especially given the company is incapable of filling out the ‘about Barabus’ section on their site? Erm… what’s wrong, didn’t have that extra 10 minutes free while scrambling to go live last night?
Not to mention it looks like ass.
"Can you name another sub 2 second 0 to 60 supecar?"
Nope, hence the large amount of doubt given the R&D resources and funding Lambo, Bugatti, Pagani, Ferrari, Porsche, and everyone else have, not to mention all the factory supported tuners like Ruf, MTM, etc. But one lone company, who can't even be bothered to mention anything about themselves on their site, any details about power delivery or even the weight of their car has bested every other car maker on the planet. Erm. Yeah sounds pretty plausible given my understanding of cars and the industry as a whole and the limitations placed on reaching v-max and specific 0-60 times. I'm going to go ahead and release a car and claim it hits 100mph in 1 second, just for kicks. no one will be able to name another sub 1.5 second 0-60 supercar, so what? what relevance does that bare on any of our concerns?
And so on and so forth. Killadoob this comment is related to the link you posted:I wonder if you could drive this from alba in italy to london without it having any problems? This is just pointless, The veyrons amazing becuase it weighs as much as the moon but will still beat an F1 car. This weighs as much as leaf so no wonder it can do 270mph. Also how the hell is this luxurious, imagine pulling up to the dorchestor or in your cases the waldorf in this. What a prat you will look like.
Seems like they based the figures on that SSC thingy on rpm's and gear ratios, not actual real world performance. All very nice to quote figures, but how does it actually perform? Heck my 2.0i Polo could probably do 250km/h if we go on revs and gear ratio estimates.I imagine all of their numbers are based on simple math = X RPM with X gear = 270 mph top speed! Just like the SCC or SSC or whatever the American big-horsepower supercar from a few months back was.
The point is that there's nothing particularly clever about making 1000hp. What's clever is making 1000hp and still being able to drive the car in the real world, where there's traffic and rain and stop lights. Ferrari, Lamborghini or any other big name marque could make a 1000 hp engine if they were just looking to boast the number.
That said, I agree, it'd be fun if it made it to Top Gear. However, I imagine once there it would break quite often, won't perform nearly as well as predicted and the manufacturer will soon disappear.
I'm afraid to say that if you refer to Le Mans as "some 24 hour race" then you don't know much about motorsport. Just because we get more television coverage of F1 in this country does not mean that it's the same everywhere. Le Mans is one of the biggest motorsport events - manufacturers spend millions on R&D, just as they do in F1. It's a manufacturers choice where they want to compete, just because they don't compete in F1 does not make them any less capable. I suppose that Porsche is a crap company too for competing in Le Mans and not in F1.if audi would rock at f1 why are they not in it?
the money is F1, tons of money actually alot more than some 24 hour race
le mans is chump change for companies like ferrari
