AVG not updating (WIAPSA)

Got a client with 9 PC's. They're on a farm, can't get ADSL, and 3G worked for a while, not anymore. Anyways, got someone to come have a look at the site, and they suggested using WiapSA.

Installation is done, speed is fast, etc, but we're having issues. AVG won't update at all. Gave them a call, spoke to a technical guy who did the install, and he said he's had so many problems with AVG, I need to load AVast! on the client PC's. Asked him to just open up the update server ports for AVG, but he's having none of it. Just says that he's got 300 clients, and alot had problems with "internet worms" (WTF??), and I need to load Avast!.

Now I'm using AVG exclusively on all my customer machines, and never had a problem with it. Even this client worked without ANY issues, now I need to remove it because HE had problems with it!?

Anyone with tips / suggestions? (Apart from loading Avast!)

I'm not sure but I think you can update it from a file as well.

Then maybe one pc can update from the web and the others can update from there?

I think when you install it, it gives you an option of updating from www or file.

I'll be checking this thread for a solution 'cause the same (AVG not updating)has happened to me.
