Does Axxess.co.za block or restrict downloading NZB's or NNTP (Network News transfer protocol) ?
Since about 12 months ago I don't seem to be able to download anything, even when setting NewsBin to use secure ports. I've been using a paid version of NewsBin for at least 7,5 years and never had any trouble until one fateful day. I was able to download one day and the next day not. Downloads would seem to start, then just hang with nothing happening. As soon as I switched connection to a commercial VPN the downloads commences. Before every download I compare main indicators like file age, file size and if it is marked with a blue P on the left. When i connect to a paid VPN (www.unblockvpn.com) I seem to be able to slowly get files downloaded. This made me suspicious that Axxess was blocking NNTP. I use ADSL and don't have access to another ISP so it's not possible for me to test. I have all the unzip/unrar tools installed as required, no firewalls, no antivirus. Nothing changed, I was able to download one day and the next downloads hung. I'm an expert Windows user.
