Axxess Fibre vs Satalite?

About the Axxess Uncapped options at http://www.axxess.co.za/uncapped.php

Does anyone know how much of a difference there is between the R899 384k Satellite and the R999 384k Fibre options.

I don't game online though have been thinking about it for sometime, I presume fiber would be better for gaming thanks to latency. Mainly I'm curious if there will be any difference in speed, problems and downtime etc?

Saving the R100 would be nice if there isn't much of a downside to it.

Fiber (fibre) , Your pages will open faster and respond faster!!!

Depends - if you game locally then you won't notice any difference in latency. Internationally there is a noticeable gap in latency between the two. Other than latency there's virtually no difference in terms of speed.

Thanks, I was hoping that would be the only downside but wanted to be sure, without gaming I don't think it's worth the extra R100.

Yeah, it's only when going across international that you notice a difference. I do some gaming on IS and locally it's not bad... I get 20-23ms, which is quite acceptable.

Satellite has proved to be more reliable than fibre in the sense of downtime.
